 Quick Thoughts on my Rankings

 PRESEASON POLLS are absolutely useless nonsense designed for ESPN and other lazy media outlets to have something to sell the general public.  So, if you are part of the "water cooler" crowd you can follow those idiots or someone who will make you smarter!  With that said you will NEVER see me come out with a preseason Top 25. I will do a list of my playoff favorites and why. I'll watch the games for several weeks, through week 7 and then come out with rankings that make sense. 

 ALSO NOTE: GROUP OF SIX MYTHICAL PLAYOFF RANKINGS. I make it crystal clear that I believe BOWLS have long out lived any usefulness they ever had and should just be COMPLETELY abolished in favor of a playoff system for the G6. TELL ME THAT WOULD NOT BE BETTER!!! While all others combine Power 4 (PWR) and Group of 6 (G6) I feel it is best to separate the two. Now while GOS teams can be ranked in the PWR rankings PWR teams cannot be in G6 rankings for obvious reasons. While I completely respect G6 teams I just do not see them being better than PWR teams except on EXTREMELY RARE occasions. Just having a great record against weaker competition does not deserve being recognized as a Top 25 team. FACTS are when most PWR teams play G6 teams regardless of record PWR teams win therefore are better in most situations regardless of what Nation Media talking heads like to spew out there for the masses.

 PLEASE NOTE these are END OF REGULAR SEASON predictions for the Playoffs!  ALL that matters and the true challenge is predicting where teams will finish the season not just putting out some information in the summer that nobody will remember in January!!!  I do not believe in preseason polls, and I have FOR DECADES found Bowls USELESS and nothing but a money grab for Networks and Executives. They are pointless and misleading to be kind, so I'll waste no further time on them. They are for no other reason than to promote TV ratings and to give talking heads something simplistic to drone on about.

FINAL 2026/27 END OF SEASON PLAYOFF PREDICTIONS. My favorites to make the playoffs.

2.Oregon                        B10      Top QB in CFB, great offensive weapons and arguably the top defense.

3.Oklahoma                 SEC      Venables has his best team, it's now or likely never!

4.Texas                            SEC      Sark in the same boat, best team yet.

5.Georgia                       SEC      NIL has taken a bite out of their roster, can Smart overcome it?

6.Indiana                       B10      Cignetti comes back closer to earth, still a great story/program.

7.Miami                          ACC      Biggest challenge facing Cristobal is keeping players focused after success!

8.Notre Dame             IND       PATHETIC schedule gets them in easy.

9.LSU                               SEC      Kiffin earns his money!

10.Clemson                  ACC      Dabo is starting to figure out this new mess. ACC weak!

11.Penn St                    B10      They miss, OSU, Ore, Ind! Schedule weak, Campbell is a GREAT fit!

12.Texas Tech              B12      Terrible conference this season, somebody has to win it!

OTHERS IN SERIOUS CONTENSION: These teams have real shot with a couple of game on each team's schedule that will determine if they make it or not,

13.USC                          B10        They have 5 swing games,10/10 at Penn St is key, win that, they are in.

14.Alabama               SEC         11/7 Game with LSU will determine who gets in.

15.Houston                B12        Willie Fritz is one of the most underrated coaches in all CFB. 

16.Louisville             ACC        Deepest team recently. No Miami or Clemson, schedule VERY LIGHT!! 

TEAMS THAT CAN GET IN WITH A "MIRACLE" season

17.BYU                         B12        Weak conference/schedule gives them a chance in the present system.

18.SMU                        ACC        Even at 10-2 they probably miss. Weak Conference/Schedule     

19.Oklahoma St     B12         My surprise team this season, HC Morris was a great hire.

20.Virginia Tech     ACC         Franklin is a great fit here, he will turn them around!
