PRESEASON '25 NFL DRAFT RANKINGS,QUARTERBACKS/RUNNING BACK

2025 DRAFT ELIGIBLE

These rankings are for my preseason top NFL Draftable players. Off course these ratings are subject to change by year end but it will be fun to see what the season  shows us. As in my Draft analysis, I use  my own eyes and metrics to rate players.  I also break down some positions differently than most. I find this very important and  the root cause of so many mistakes in the draft process. Even with all the advancements today many, many NFL executives and Draft analysts are still operating in caveman modes of years gone by, and failing!!   New for this season I've added  a comments section just for some added context clarifying my opinion on players.

QUARTERBACKS:

 CLASS GRADE B-

As of now I only see one 1st round talent on my board(Milroe). The next three have the ability but will they come through? I'm sure the idiots that run many NFL franchises will talk themselves into 2/3 more of these guys and they will fail as usual,

Rk     Player                       Sch       Ht     Wt      Comments

1.Jalen Milroe               Ala         6-2   220     This year he finds consistency to go with crazy raw ability.

2.Carsen Beck                Ga         6-4   220     I'm not sold he is a 1st rounder

3.Riley Leonard         NDame  6-4   213     He MUST stay healthy

4.Drew Allar                PennSt  6-5   242      Has all the tools, he needs to show up when it matters.

5.Graham Mertz         Fla          6-3   215      His rollercoaster career trends up this season.

6.KJ Jefferson            UCF        6-3   247      Has he finally found a coach who understands how to use him?

7.Will Howard           OhioSt    6-4   242      He gets to play with the Ferrari's now, can he adjust?

8.Shedure Sanders  Col          6-1   215      Average arm, average athlete. His biggest issue, HIS COACH!

9.Quinn Ewers            Tx           6-2   205      He lacks the tools to ever be elite!

10.Kyle McCord        Syr           6-3   215      He has all the physical tools, VERY lacking in quick decision making.

Others to watch:

Kyron Drones   Va Tech, Cam Ward Mia(F), Byrum Brown   USF, Seth Henigan  Memphis, Jaxson Dart     Miss

Conner Weigman TxA&M, Preston Stone   SMU, Donovan Smith Hou

    ALL PURPOSE RB's

      CLASS GRADE   A

This has the potential to be the best class I've ranked since the inception of the APB  position in my draft predictions. The top 5 all have the ability to be picked by the end of day 2. The top 3 can all be Stars if they stay healthy.

Rk     Player                         Sch        Ht     Wt      Comments

1.TreVeon Henderson OhioSt  5-10  208    Very explosive, very dangerous in pass game, he MUST stay healthy!

3.Trevor Etienne              Ga        5-9      205    He should explode in this offense.

4.Jo'Quavious Marks   USC     5-10    208    Watch him now without the entire defense keying on him.

5.Bhayshui Tuten          VaTch  5-10    205    Over 2400 yards rushing, 68 recepions 33 TD's and 2 KO return TD's

6.RJ Harvey                       UCF     5-8      205     If he improves in pass game he can move up this list.

7.Jordan James              Ore      5-10   205      It's his turn now to get more touches.

8.Jarquez Hunter           Aub     5-9      209     Versatile explosive back, victim of a poor team.

9.Makhi Hughes              Tula    5-11   205     Nice runner, to slight for lead back. Needs some serious work in pass game.

10.Donovan Edwards   Mich   6-0     210    Very inconsistent. Has an occasional huge game running, solid in pass game.

Others to watch:
