2026 WIDE Receivers/TIGHT ENDS

NUMERICAL RATINGS/DRAFT VALUE EXPLANATION WIDE/SLOT RECEIVER

95-100 ELITE PLAYER, Yearly in All Pro debate, consistently a Top 5 player at the position, can change the direction of the franchise.  Likely a league MVP at some point of his career potentially more than once. Face of the franchise, elite level football IQ, high personal character and while talent can trump that for some it cannot for me for this level of rating. Expect elite level performance and undeniable team leadership for 10/15 years. Possible Hall of Fame Career. TOP 5/10 DRAFT PICK

90-94   Top 5/10 at the position most years, All Pro 3-5 years over 10/15-year career with drafting team, may possibly win a MVP award with a special season. Capable of turning the fortunes of a franchise as long as other pieces in place.  One of the primary faces of the franchise, high football IQ, preferred high personal character team leader on the offensive side. Consistently a top-level performer in all years, could make HOF ballot for a few years.    Mid/Late 1st round draft pick

82-89 Solid at the position. Look for 8/12-year career perhaps spending last few as a backup. Possibly an All-Pro season or two should   finish in top half of players at position most years.  Very good but not great.  Very solid and dependable player. Team will be looking for replacement after 5/7 years, may not find one but looking. 2nd contact with drafting team 50/50. 2nd/3rd round

74-81 Flaws that can possibly be overcome. Could be, lack of ideal arm strength, prototypical size or athleticism, mechanical issues, could be injury or personality concerns. Likely 3/5-year career max at starter level in most cases, then relegated to backup duty. Rare players with a few years of patience, good coaching, along with a strong personal work ethic can evolve to more. Potential to become long term starter but the team will always be looking for a better option, this can last for many years, but player will be on the bubble year to year. 2nd contract with drafting team unlikely.  Draft 3rd/4th round

65-73 Numerous flaws, Injury concerns or physical limitations. May start a year or two for a desperate team. Could be star players with serious injury concerns, some with rare physical attributes who will need serious coaching and patience, some who never found a fit in college.   Likely a 3-to-5-year career then on the bubble, some players can carve out a longer career or even start will hard work and patience or as a backup if willing to play for multiple teams over career.  Some fortunate few beat the odds and find a long-term home; most are out of football within 5 years.   Draft 4th/5th round

57-64 Career backup/ developmental player.  At this point the draft is even more of a gamble.  Could be formerly high rated recruit who failed to live up to expectations. Could be star players with serious injury concerns, some with rare physical attributes who will need serious coaching and patience, some who never found a fit in college. Some can develop (Brady) but this is rare. likely will begin as a #3 or practice squad player, the rest depends on patience and work ethic. Player not finishing rookie contract with drafting team is more likely. Will live on the bubble.  Draft 6th/7th round

50-56 Developmental Practice squad player. Another home for those who did not find great success in college or after much hype in High School. 1 in 50 can beat the odds and have a longer career. Just an arm for practice and scout team, the "preferred walk on" of the NFL, could, could, develop into role player with tenacity and patience. Likely just on roster a year or two at best as a practice player not active on game days.  Draft late 7th round/Priority Free Agent (PFA) Free Agent (UDFA)

45-49 Player for Training Camp or practice squad 1 in 100 will carve out a longer career due to incredible diligence and tenacity. Only active when team needs a body for a couple games due to injuries.. Not long for the team. Week to Week. Likely will sign with several teams over a few years. Teams will lead these guys on often knowing they will never play a down for them. Better not completely leave school before graduation that degree will be necessary. Free Agents only. (UDFA)

Under 45 Training camp body at best, HOPE YOU GOT YOUR DEGREE!!! THE REAL WORLD IS COMING!!!!!!!!! Well maybe after numerous stints in Arena Ball or the UFL!!  Players with a specific skill or perhaps tremendous intangibles worthy of a Camp Invite, 1 in 500 make more of it like making the practice squad for a year or two. Frankly, GM's who sign these guys for anything more than a camp body will be looking for work soon. Free Agents only. (UDFA)

   EXPLANATION OF OTHER TERMS

BUST ALERT!!! A player highly ranked by many others but one I do hold in the same regard.  Also, this term will be used for players who I call "ONE YEAR WONDERS" these players are either freakish athletes or players who had one season that FAR exceeded their previous production creating serious risk.   This term will be reserved for 1st round projections where mistakes can cripple a franchise.

OVERRATED ALERT!!! Similar to the above but not as extreme, for after 1st/2nd rounds.. Players are not as highly rated so mistakes while still important do not carry the same weight.  There are multiple reasons for this designation some but not limited to character, talent, injuries, college scheme or system.

UNDERRATED ALERT!!! Players I feel deserve a higher ranking than many/most other so called experts.  These players in the future will be referred to as "STEALS" but I want it known my evaluation were on point when they were drafted.

SLEEPER ALERT!!!! A player that perhaps played in a poor scheme for his talents, suffered from poor coaching, revolving door coaching, poor supporting cast but has shown flashes that can lead him to success in the proper environment.

POSITION CHANGE ALERT!!! These are players who I feel due primarily to their skill set or more rarely at times measurables  will reach their maximum level of NFL success by changing from their primary College position.

CHARACTER ALERT!!!  This designation is reserved for players who have had multiple issues concerning there character. This can be legal issues, multiple transfers, poor practice habits, friction with teammates and/or Coaches, Academic issues and or any other infraction that brings into question the players decision making. Teams must weigh the risk/reward related to these players VERY CAREFULLY!!

INJURY ALERT!!!! A player with serious injury concerns, medicals vital. Possibly multiple injuries while in college or one severe injury. Also could have a long history in College and even perhaps High School "Injury Prone" is the common term.   If you are missing time on the field you are costing your team $$$$

   OUTSIDE RECEIVERS

Players best suited for the traditional Wide receiver position. Quickness and long speed both important but a big body than can still run can be very effective, strong hands, catch radius, route running and discipline are vital. Most will play on the primarily outside, some are able to move inside and be effective.

  2026 OUTSIDE RECEIVER OVERVIEW:

A very top-loaded class but that talent is elite and with five players I have with a 1st round grade which does not happen often. After than things fall off fast but numerous of these players were not in a scheme or at a school with QB issues that contributed to their performances. The lower section has numerous players who never lived up to expectations and in the correct scheme and with patience they could become quality NFL receivers.

               2026 WIDE RECEIVER RANKINGS/CLASS GRADE A

RK                    NAME               SCH      Ht        Wt    Rtg    RND

1.Carnell Tate                        OSU    6-1     191      97    Top 5

Well coached, experienced and completely ready to start day one. No holes in his game, GREAT hands, excellent route runner, plays bigger than he is, excellent quickness and speed, catches with hands. Better than Egbuka my #1 last season who had a great rookie season.

2.Jordyn Tyson                   AzSt      6-1    195      95    Top 10

Great possession receiver who rarely misses one-on-one balls, very physical but lacks elite long speed. Great route runner, he works the short zones better than anyone.  Will become the "go to" guy on 3rd down and in red zone which is highly valuable.

3.Chris Brazzell                  Tenn      6-5    200      93    Mid 1st

SLEEPER ALERT!! Like Bell, I'm higher on him than others and NO WAY he gets drafted this high either, another later day 2 pick likely. Great length and solid speed, gets downfield smooth and easily. Works well in traffic on short routes, slight frame could be an issue.

4.Denzel Boston                Wash     6-3    209      92     Late 1st

Great frame and strength, not a burner but works short area very well, great hands.

5.Chris Bell                              Lou     6-2     220     89    Early 2nd

SLEEPER ALERT!! I am certainly higher on him than anyone and NO WAY he will get drafted this high. Likely a late day 2 pick and due to injury late last season his availability this season could be effective. Very strong, excellent speed, glides across the field. Hard worker who is likely the best downfield blocker in the group. Needs some route work but raw athleticism is excellent. Hard to handle in short zones and can outrun most. He never worked with a good QB situation at Louisville.

6.Ja'Kori Lane                     USC      6-4    195      85     Late 2nd

Has the length, hands and other tools to become a very good possession receiver, 12 TDs in '24 season.

7.Germi Bernard                Ala        6-0    209      84     Early 3rd

Built like a RB and runs after the catch like one. Strong and should become a solid possession guy, average speed at best.

8.Malachi Fields             NDame   6-4    220      83     Mid 3rd

Could become a solid WR2 with some speed work but likely more of a solid rotational player.

9.Elijah Surratt                    Ind      6-2     209      82     Mid 3rd

Another tough receiver built like a RB, great in finding holes in zones.

10.Eric McAllister                TCU   6-3     205     79      Late 3rd

Others like him much better. great speed, can get deep. Needs route work.

11.Reggie Virgil                TxTch   6-3     190      77     Early 4th

Great length, plus speed, nice hands. He should evolve into a solid WR3

12.Jeff Caldwell                  Cin     6-5     215      76     Early 4th

Long with great frame and nice athleticism, was dominant in DII but struggled with consistency in '25

13.Ted Hurst                        GaSt    6-2    194       67     Mid 5th

Small conference star with the ability to get deep. Over 125 receptions and 15 TDs last two seasons.

14.De'Zhaun Stribling   Miss      6-2    200      64     Early 6th

Three programs and produced at all, also struggled with consistency at all.

15.Josh Cameron              Bay      6-1    218      62     Mid 6th

Solid build has possession ability and had 19 TDs last two seasons.

16.CJ Daniels                    Mia(F)   6-2    205      62     Mid 6th

6 years player who showed his lack of speed at upper levels.

17.Malik Benson                Ore      6-1    195      59     Early 7th

Could outplay this if he would get out of his own way. Needs to mature and realize what he could be.

18.Caleb Douglass         TxTch    6-4    205      56     Mid 7th

Long with some solid possession traits.

19.Harrison Wallace       Miss      6-1    200     55     Late 7th

Should find a spot on a team . He could develop into a decent possession guy.

20.Nic Anderson                LSU      6-4     216    54     Late 7th

Once alofty recruit, worth a look. Worth a practice squad spot.

21.Chase Roberts              BYU     6-4     210    53      PFA

Others are higher on him. I'm not sure he will be able to separate at NFL level.

22.Dane Key                         Neb     6-2      210   52      PFA

Has some possession ability.

23.Romello Brinson         SMU    6-2      190   51      PFA

Has shown some ability to get deep.

24.Donaven McCulley    Mich    6-5      215    50      PFA

I kept waiting for him to be better.

25.Emm Henderson         Kan      6-1    190     49      UDFA

Good practice squad candidate.

26.Jordan Hudson              SMU  6-1     200     48     UDFA

27.O'Mega Blake                  Ark    6-1     187     47      UDFA

Has shown some explosiveness.

28.Anthony Smith             ECar    6-3    189     46      UDFA

29.JMicheal Sturdivant   Fla      6-2     205     45      UDFA

30.Noah Thomas                  Ga      6-5    200      44      UDFA

31.Bryce Lance                    NDSt   6-2    204      43      UDFA

32.Colbie Young                     Ga     6-3    215      42      UDFA

Never lived up to athletic ability.

33.Jalen Walthall                IncW  6-2    180      41      UDFA

34.Kyle Dixson                      Culv    6-4   215      40      UDFA

35.Dillion Bell                          Ga     6-1   210       40      UDFA

 SLOT WIDE RECEIVERS

Players I deem best suited for playing primarily at the inside receiver position. Quicker than fast, some lanky types with good hands and limited speed, some big, bodied types than are not Tight Ends can find a home here. With the many different offenses teams operate they can find spots for all, if they are smart enough.

2026 SLOT RECEIVER OVERVIEW

AGAIN, I CREATED THIS POSITION 1ST! As for this group, much like the outside receivers it is top-heavy. Rare is a player who ranks in Top 10 here, and all three-2nd rounders can outplay that rating. After that several others have that same opportunity as well as becoming stars for kick return ability. I see ten that have the ability to become long-term NFL players, a very good year for the position!

               2026 SLOT RECEIVER RANKINGS/CLASS GRADE A

RK                    NAME               SCH      Ht        Wt    Rtg    RND

1.Makai Lemon                      USC    5-11    190    95     Top 10

YES, he can play outside and be solid but not spectacular but I see him as dominant working from this spot. His lack of long speed is why. As for the slot, he is the best route runner in the group, and it's not close! Excellent hands, very good one on one ability, great stop/start ability He has all the tools to excel inside for years.

2.Zach Branch                          Ga     5-10     175    89     Early 2nd

Lightning quick, explosive, great vision and burst and very tough for his size. He will need the right offense but used properly he is a weapon. Also, can excel as a KR.

3.Kevin Concepcion        TxA&M  5-11     187   88      Early 2nd

Another lightning quick player with great explosiveness. He will need to toughen up but his burst and elusiveness should make him dangerous. Also an excellent KR prospect.

4.Deon Burks                           Okl      5-9      194   85      Late 2nd

INJURY ALERT!! If he can stay healthy, he will earn this spot, if not he will bust. yes, he is a gamble.

5.Aaron Anderson                 LSU     5-8      187   84      Early 3rd

When healthy he has all the tools to be a great player here, also has dabbled as a KR.

6.Antonio Williams             Clem    5-11    190   82      Mid 3rd

Great hands, solid possession receiver, not many explosive plays, possibly due to poor QB play

7.Jacob DeJesus                     Cal      5-7      170   80      Late 3rd

Solid possession guy, great quickness, route ability and hands, also vast success as a KR

8.Omar Cooper                        Ind      6-0     204    77      Early 4th

Some like him outside, I do not. Inside he can use his strength and size to win battles.

9.Kaden Wetjen                     Iowa     5-9    196     76     Early 4th

My #1 KR and an underused receiver with tremendous upside. Played with average to poor QB play his entire career

10.Caulin Lacy                         Lou     5-10   190    69     Early 5th

286 catches and over 3300 yards, plus a versatile KR.

11.Kevin Coleman                   Mo     5-11    180   67     Mid 5th

Four schools in four years but almost 200 catches and a solid KR resume.

12.Barion Brown                    LSU      6-1     182   65     Late 5th

Produced on teams with poor passing attacks. SIX KR TDs!!

13.Brennen Thompson   MissSt     5-9     170   64     Early 6th

Lightning quick but only produced one good season in four.

14.Eric Rivers                       GaTch     5-11   174   62     Mid 6th

Should have used his year he had left.

15.Hank Beatty                      ILL         5-10   185   56     Mid 7th

Had one huge season.

16.Eli Heidenreich               Nvy         6-0    206    55     Mid 7th

Great all-around athlete, sneaky fast and tough as nails.

NUMERICAL RATINGS/DRAFT VALUE EXPLANATION TIGHT ENDS

This designation is reserved for players who have had multiple issues concerning their character.

        TIGHT ENDS

The TE spot in the NFL has and will continue to evolve. Be able to split out to a slot position or even at times out wide. Blocking TE's are more role players these day's so my rankings reflect that. Still the best is those who are a combo of both. TE's that are in reality just big WRs are on every team. On my list you will see players who are not listed by others, give them a couple years and my logic will become clear.

      2026 TIGHT END OVERVIEW

With six in the mix for starting or major minuets in their rookie season this TE class is loaded, After that many others with nice long-term upside and potential. A very good draft for this position. My ratings look different from most others. I'm good with that, you will see why and this class matures.

                  2026 TIGHT END RANKINGS/CLASS GRADE A

RK                    NAME               SCH      Ht        Wt    Rtg    RND

1.Kenyon Sadiq                    Ore     6-3      235     95      Top 10

Elite athlete for the position who was never really used correctly at Oregon. He has the ability to get downfield like few others at the position. Consider him a better blocking and faster David Njoku type. While lacking ideal size he will fit well in today's NFL after some work on his routes, the offense at Oregon was not very complicated for his position.

2.Justin Joly                        NCSt     6-3     251     90      Late 1st

SLEEPER ALERT!! I'm much higher on him than others. his production was consistent and better than most know due to the fact that I've actually watched him play. Over 160 catches with inconsistent QB play his entire career, soft hands, great after the catch, excellent in contested catches and while not a dominant blocker, effort is there, very willing, not an elite athlete but better than most think. HE WILL NOT GO THIS HIGH, likely late day2 or early day 3 but this is where I see his worth.

3.Max Klare                            OSU    6-4     240      89      Early 2nd

Not used as much as they should have. Excellent hands, smooth route runner, solid blocker, not a burner but is sneaky fast and can get deep and make the catch.

4.Josh Cuevas                       Ala      6-3     256      86      Late 2nd

Another I like better than others. Nice hands, great frame, solid blocker, better athlete than you think. Fought lingering injuries last season or others would rate him higher also, Likely will go on Day 3 but his worth is higher.

5.Eli Stowers                       Vand     6-4    235      85       Late 2nd

Former QB will likely be a one-dimensional player, but he has the ability to be a very good one. Great athlete, excellent hands, still learning how to be a TE. upside in unlimited, If his blocking can improve to tolerable, he will be a star.

6.Will Kacmarek                  OSU     6-6    258      83       Mid 3rd

UNDERRATED ALERT!! Best blocker in the class, an extra OL, GREAT frame, surprising hands, runs decent routes, will fight for the ball and make surprising plays if asked to, will do dirty work when asked. Likely will be a mid-Day 3 STEAL!!!

7.Tanner Koziol                    Hou      6-6    237     71       Late 4th

Long and lean, will be a solid receiver with average at best blocking. He needs to add some weight and strength but with over 230 catches and over 2200 yards he knows how to get open.

8.Eli Rairdon                      NDame   6-7   252      70      Late 4th

Great frame, better athlete than most think, solid blocker

9.Dallen Bentley                Utah      6-4   259      69      Early 5th

Well coached. Great size, solid athlete, hard worker, could have used another year in college.

10.Joe Royer                          Cin       6-4   255      67     Mid 5th

Will need to work HARD on his blocking to be than a role player.

11.Michael Trigg                  Bay      6-4   246      65      Late 5th

One-dimensional, receiver only, has all the measurables but blocking is very weak and he doesn't put mush effort into it.

12.Jack Endries                     Tx        6-4   240      64     Early 6th

Another receiver only guy, sneaky quick with excellent hands.

13.Dae'Quaun Wright      Miss      6-4   255      60      Late 6th

Great athlete with serious upside if he will put in the work, he can easily outplay this Rating.

14.Sam Roush                      Stan      6-5   260      56      Mid 7th

2nd best blocker in the group so he should make team, below average athlete with little upside.

15.RJ Maryland                     SMU     6-4   243      55      Late 7th

SLEEPER ALERT!! Very athletic, has excellent hands, runs solid routes, victim of poor college choice!

16.Oscar Delp                          Ga       6-5   245      54      Late 7th

Former elite recruit who just never produced like one.

17.Marlin Klein                     Mich     6-5   250     53       PFA

Solid blocker.

18.Riley Nowakowski         Ind      6-2   249     52       PFA

More of a H-back/FB type but should find a place

19.Jaren Kanak                     Okl       6-2   233    51       PFA

Former LB still learning position.

20.Max Bredson                 Mich       6-2    252    50      PFA

Another FB/H-back type.

21.Nate Boerkircher      TxA&M    6-4    250    49      UDFA

22.Bauer Sharp                   LSU        6-5    246    48      UDFA

23.JMicheal Gyllenborg  Wyo       6-5   251     47      UDFA

Has some tools. Nice for practice squad.

24.DJ Rogers                          TCU       6-4   250     46      UDFA

25.Miles Kitselman           Tenn      6-5    256     45      UDFA

26.Khalil Dinkins              PennSt  6-4    252      45     UDFA

27.Matthew Hibner           SMU      6-4    252      44     UDFA

28.Lake McRae                     USC       6-4   250       43     UDFA

29.Josh Kattus                       Ky        6-4    247       42    UDFA

30.Seydou Traore          MissSt      6-4    235       40    UDFA

31.Dan Villari                        Syr       6-4    245        39    UDFA

32.Lance Mason                 Wisc      6-4    250        37    UDFA
