PRESEASON'26 NFL DRAFT RANKINGS, OFFENSIVE LINE

OFFENSIVE LINE

These rankings are for my preseason top NFL Draftable players. Off course these ratings are subject to change by year end, but it will be fun to see what the season shows us. As in my Draft analysis, I use my own eyes and metrics to rate players.  I also break down some positions differently than most. I find this very important and the root cause of so many mistakes in the draft process. Even with all the advancements today many, many NFL executives and Draft analysts are still operating in caveman modes of years gone by and failing!!   New for this season I've added a Comments section just for some added context clarifying my opinion on players.

 LEFT TACKLES

Not a very strong or deep group. I don't see a day1 performer, only a couple day 2 guys as of now. Some IDIOT NFL GM will likely insist on starting Proctor here, he can play it, but will not be his best.

CLASS GRADE D+

Rk     Player                       Sch       Ht       Wt      Comments

1.Drew Shelton          PennSt   6-5     308     Rock solid multi-year starter. Equal in run and pass game, I like him better than most,

2.Spencer Fano            Utah      6-5     302     Played more RT that LT but should slide right in at either and start day one!

3.Eliijah Paige                USC      6-7     320      Got better all last season, look for that trend to continue,

4.Caleb Lomu                Utah     6-6      304     The other OT at Utah, could end up better.

5.Isaiah World                Ore       6-5     303      This very athletic transfer could rise up this list easily.

6.Kage Casey                 BoiSt     6-5     316       Small conference dominant player, needs t o show in big games.

7.Jude Bowry                BColl     6-5     308       Experienced, well coached, great measurables.

8.Brian Parker              Duke      6-5     300       Versatile performer, either OT or G, he will find a place and start.

9.Tristan Leigh              Clem      6-5     315        Will be a 3-year starter, very solid but unspectacular, he will find a job

10.PJ Williams                SMU      6-5     317       Has played RT and LT, swing ability, improved every season,

Others to watch:

McKale Boley Vir, Elijah Pritchett Nebr, Davis Heinzen Wisc, Monroe Feeling, Geo

  RIGHT TACKLE

This class in loaded, sad truth is that IDIOT NFL GM's will more than likely destroy a number of these players by insisting the play LT which while a few have the ability, their best shot for long term success is at RT or even a move inside

  CLASS GRADE A+

Rk     Player                       Sch     Ht      Wt      Comments

1.Kayden Proctor         Ala      6-6    360     Playing LT in CFB, RT or G in NFL, but All-Pro potential at any spot

2.Blake Miller              Clem     6-7    315     Polished multi-year starter. plug and play 10+ season with multiple Pro Bowls

3.Francis Mauigoa      Mia(F) 6-5   315      Athletic, versatile multi-year starter, swing potential, no weakness.

4.Max Iheanachor       AzSt    6-8    325      Another multi-year starter, pure RT, should start day 1

5.Genning Dunker       Iowa   6-5   316      Very well coached, solid OL program, swing potential.

6.Xavier Chaplin            Aub   6-7   338      Massive and versatile, playing LT this season, RT better option.

7.Fa'alili Fa'amoe        WFst   6-5   317     Multi-year starter transfer, athletic, versatile, swing ability.

8.Ryan Bear                    Pitt      6-6   325    Another versatile athletic mauler. Can play either OT or G

9.Hunter Zambrano TxTch   6-5    305   Athletic transfer, he may move up this list.

10.Caleb Tiernan        Nwst    6-8   329     Massive mauler, playing LT. RT better spot for him.

Others to watch:

Demetrious Crownover TxA&M, Howard Sampson TxTch, Aamil Wagner NDame, Micah Pettus FlaSt, Lance Heard Tenn, Riley Mahlman Wisc, Monroe Mills Vir, Mason Murphy Aub, Tyler Miller IoSt

          GUARDS

Another loaded position, well with a little common sense! Several prospects have played OT and a number the more incompetent  GM's will insist they can play there at this level. THEY WILL BE WRONG!! Great OL are the backbone of success, sadly the powers that be fail to understand how to evaluate them.

  CLASS GRADE  A+

Rk     Player                       Sch       Ht      Wt      Comments

7.Fernado Carmona   Ark        6-4    325       Rock solid 4-year starter, solid in all phases,

8.Anthony Donkoh   PennSt   6-5   334       Has versatility, started at RT last season, better at G

Billy Schrauth NDame, Tegra Tshabola OhSt, Anez Cooper Mia(F), DJ Campbel Tex, Cayden Green Mo, Joe Brunner Wisc, Ar'maj Reed-Adams, Luke Montgomery OhSt, Kam Dewberry Ala.

  CENTERS

With three players with serious day1/2 ability this is a fine Center class, numerous other prospects have the versatility to develop into fine swing players or future Centers.
