2023 NFL DRAFT REVIEW 5 Star College Football!

DRAFT REVIEW

2023 DRAFT REVIEW:

MY VIEWS ON DRAFT EVALUATION:

I decided to stay with simple letter grades for rating team picks and overall draft. Everybody understands them, they will range from A+ to F. The ratings are round sensitive, I will use a multipliers each round and for number of picks.  The Draft is one of my primary reasons for this site, for decades I've watched teams make consistent mistakes and all out failures. Every year I still hear some classic cliches and archaic sayings like "you can't teach speed"  the ever popular "best player available"  and the more recent additions "He had a great Pro Day" or "He blew up the Combine" Following these thought processes consistently blows up in the face of drafting team. If teams would simply draft the best player to fill needs on their team  in the proper round draft failures would be minimized. To me the only things that cannot be taught are Height and Heart!! And if you ignore several years of film and game production for a player who tests well in shorts and a t-shirt you deserve what you get! So yes my innovative views on NFL draft coverage differ wildly but watch, yes I miss one now and then but I'll take the pepsi challenge with anybody out there that mine are more accurate. Starting next year I will be doing my version of a nfl mock draft also. Yes it will be different.

PLAYER GRADING:

Factors in grading are the players draft rating, fit for scheme and lastly need. Some players may receive a higher grade than those with higher Draft Rating due to better scheme fit or filling a primary or secondary need. Points will be lost for drafting players with lower draft ratings than position drafted or questions on scheme fit or need. These decisions are  based solely my own judgement and evaluations. I often differ significantly from so called "Experts" and Draft rooms around the NFL, I also will point out organizations for their failures and continued failures. I do not care who doesn't like it, unlike others I will call it just as I see it with 0.0 worry who I offend!!

TEAM DRAFT GRADING:

My team grading is based on simple math using the initial letter grade and points for a start. I will then add multiplier #1, this is the round sensitive grade, higher rounds receive a higher multiplier and lower receive a lower multiplier, simple enough I believe.  The reasoning for this is higher round picks carry more importance due to talent available and of course Salary Cap implications which can cripple a Franchise. Teams that consistently overdraft limit future movements in Free Agency, also this can limit the Franchise when it comes to the all important 2nd contract for core players. This is often overlooked but a vital component in a successful franchise. Overdrafting in my opinion is the single most overlooked and easily dismissed componant in failing franchises.  In '21  I  added  multiplier#2  this comes from the number of picks a team makes. this multiplier will work both ways. There are 7 rounds so that is the base number, over 7 picks the team will a positive multiplier and under 7 picks a negative multiplier. This will achieve better accuracy as to which team has the true Best Draft.  I've looked at numerous other draft grades from so called "experts" and they are a joke, mostly A's an B's when in reality if you look at history you will find far more average or below average grades after 3 years. My Drafts and grades will be saved in my History section for review after 3 and 5 years, you will not find that information on other sites. NEW  IMPROVED GRADING FOR '22. New for this season, I felt I was in need of some adjustments so I tightened things up just a touch from last season. So after much thought and experimentation. NEW FOR "23. A small change as I went to 3 digits past the decimal for all scores, just more accurate.

My Draft Grades.

TEAM GRADING SCALE

A+ Over 6.00          C+ 3.50 to 3.99

A    5.75 to 5.99      C    3.00 to 3.49

A-  5.50 to 5.74       C-  2.75 to 2.99

B+ 5.00 to 5.49       D+ 2.50 to 2.74

B   4.50 to 4.99        D   2.25 to 2.49

B- 4.00 to 4.49        D-  2.00 to 2.24

                   F  0.0 to 2.00

Base- Is the average of  Player grades. Grades are set by using the following criteria. My rating of the player. How soon the player will be able to contribute. Team need at the position. Fit with the teams coaching and scheme. Players on the board when the pick was made.

Mutiplier #1-Take the picks and add in Multiplier for the round, 1st round highest and so on.

Multiplier #2 Take the number of picks overall and add Multiplier. 7 round draft so 7 is nuetral, over 7 adds to score under 7 lowers score each pick over or under changes the multiplier.

Grade=  Final Grade, Simple enough!

     ROUND ONE

In round one teams need to draft STARS, long time starters, plug and play for multple years. Steer clear of red flags, overdrafting, drafting on Combine or ridiclous Pro Day performances and developmental players, DO NOT BELONG IN THIS ROUND!!!  If your 1st round pick does not start or play significant minutes YOU FAILED on numerous levels!!  Not only did you waste a pick that needed to be correct you caused salary Cap implications that can cause long-term and cripple a Franchise for years to come.

Pk      Team                     Name           Pos   Sch   Grd

1.Carolina            Bryce Young          QB     Ala      F

I gave him an early 3rd round grade and I'll own it. Primary reason was average arm strength at best and his VERY slight frame andplaying weight of maybe 190 will take it's toll as it has 95% of the time through history. If they get their OL together and it's close  with his excellent intangibles he could evolve to a mid level QB, that 's not enough for #1 overall

2.Houston            C J Stroud               QB    OSU   B

My #1 QB with a Mid 1st grade but this is too early for him will better players on the board. Yes he fill sa major need but are they ready for a QB? They better seriously improve upfront, Stroud loathes contact and will often struggles with pressure and  holds the ball to long. WR is a MAJOR need as is OL, this may not end well.

3.Houston            Will Anderson       LB      Ala  A+

Fills major need for pass rush help but where they play him will be key. Drafted at LB and he can have some success there but at DE in a 4-3 is where he will bcome an ALL PRO!!

4.Indianapolis  Anthony Richardson  QB   Fla    F

Every year NFL evaluators get sucked in by a tremendous athlete at some position that never played up to those numbers. Often that player is at QB, I've heard the names, Newton, Jackson, McNabb, well I have one that will stick, Jake Locker. One of the worst OL's in NFL and weak at WR to be kind, this will not help!

5.Seattle          Devon Witherspoon  CB     ILL     B

Not really a position of primary need, not a perfect schem fit and a round to early for me but a tough hard hitting  player with upside who is still getting better.

6.Arizona              Paris Johnson        OT    OSU    B+

OL a major need but they are set at LT so where does he play? Also somewhat early.  Skoronski would have made more sense and they paid FAR TO MUCH for this move down. They loose points  for this questionable pick.

7.Las Vegas          Tyree Wilson         DE     Tx Tch   C

Definitely a position a need. That said Wilson here is way to early for him and better players at the same position available. He tests great and sure looks the part but production never matched. He can be a solid player you draft those players in round 2/3/4 not #7 overall.

8.Atlanta               Bijan Robinson    RB     Tex     A+

Great pick on numerous levels, MY #1 RB, great fit for scheme, healthy and has no holes in his game! I'm not sold long term on RB's on roster so I'm all in on this pick.

9.Philadelphia   Jalen Carter          DT      Ga        B+

MY #1 DT!! If he gets his head right this will be a great pick. Raw talent wise he is near the top of the list but effort, attitude, consistency and off the field are his problems.  That's a dangerous list but this is a great spot for him to land. This grade can go up, it's all up to him.

10.Chicago           Darnell Wright     OT      Tenn    B

My #1 RT and that is where he must play, but they will jam him into LT and that will not end well as just as I said about Jedrick Wills a couple years ago , its's RT or inside for this player.

11.Tennessee      Peter Skoronski   OL      N W   A+

MY #1 Guard, fills a major need, fits scheme. He can play outside due to his strength and superior technical abilities but he will be a perenial ALL PRO at Guard, so A+ at Guard but B+ at OT, the decision is up to them.

12.Detroit             Jahmyr Gibbs      APB    Ala    D

Head scratcher here, they traded up for this guy they could have had with the pick they traded, there is a reason for Detroits decades of failure. Talented player, fits scheme but WHY so early?

13.Green Bay       Lukas Van Ness    DE      Iowa  D-

I'm being generous with this grade, he can contribute but will only be a rotational player at first. He may start at some time but he will never never a star and that's what you want at #13

14.Pittsburgh      Broderick Jones  OT      Ga     C

Desperate need but but Jones will need some serious work.  His strengths fit scheme very well as his run blocking is his strong point but pass protection will need some work and patience, far to early for this player in my opinion.

15.NY Jets         Will McDonald   DE    Iowa St   D+

Just far to early for a player that may not have a true position. Where he plays will be critical to his success,  DE he can be a very good pass rusher in a 4-3 set, if played at LB it will not end well.

16.Washington  Emmanuel Forbes  CB  MissSt   A

Position of need, solid scheme fit for this player who has wild upsid. Only drawback is slight frame but he has all the other tools to become a shut down CB with best ball skills in draft

17.New England  Christian Gonzalaz  CB   Ore   D

His climb up most charts has confused me. Has skills and developmental prospects but at least a year away. Definetely a position of need but this player will not be ready to play much this season. Very raw but size/speed numbers got him drafted far earlier than I would have.

18.Detroit           Jack Campbell         LB     Iowa    A

They need defensive players desperately so while not a position of primary need he will help and is great value at this spot.

19.Tampa Bay      Calijah Kancey         DT     Pitt   D

Nice player but yet again and overeach and far to early with better options on the board. Plus in their scheme where does he play? Very confusing pick.

20.Seattle      Jaxon Smith-Njigba     WR   OSU  A+

MY #1 PLAYER OVERALL! Great pick, fills need, fits scheme, complete player will start from day1

21.LA Chargers  Quentin Johnson   WR   TCU   A+

Excellent pick, great fit, he will flourish in this offense. Due to injury issues they have had he also fills need.

22.Baltimore     Zay Flowers        WR    Bos Coll  C+

Fills perhaps their biggest need but far to early and better players on board at this spot. If they try to force him outside he will struggle to get free from NFL CB's

23.Minnesota    Jordan Addison       WR    USC   B+

Surprising pick given their needs OL, DL, he could evolve to a solid WR2 for sure and this is onlty slightly early so this pick is not tragic but questionable.

24.NY Giants       Deonte Banks             CB     Md     F

Another case of a team falling for measurables and testing numbers and ignoring 4 years of tape and below average  production and reality. This will not end well.

25.Buffalo            Dalton Kincaid         TE     Utah   B

Fills a major need, a good fit, solid player and just slightly early but better TE's in my opinion on the board also several top WR's were still available and could have been a more pressing need.

26.Dallas             Mazi Smith                    DT   Mich    F

Well down the list on needs, terrible schem fit and far better options on board, the Jones strike again, Smith does have some ability as a rotational player or at NT but this pick makes absolutely no sense.

27.Jacksonville Anton Harrison        OT   Okl     D+

With the players still on board I just don't understand this pick. Yes this is a need but not a primary one and players were available that would have fit very well, Very athletic player who needs work all around , likely will not provide much this season.

28.Cincinnati      Myles Murphy           DE    Clem   A

Not really a position of need or a perfect scheme fit but to good to pass up here for a very good team. He should rotate in well.

29.New Orleans Bryan Bresee         DT    Clem  A+

Fills need, fits scheme and great value here.  All around excellent pick who will step in and play day 1.

30.Philadelphia    Nolan Smith           LB    Ga     A+

Not a primary need or perfect scheme fit but far to talented to pass up on here for a loaded team so they get the high grade due to other teams reaches and failures in scouting. That's hoew good teams stay good. At this spot this was a no brainer he has the talent to be effective at numerous positions even though 4-3 OLB would be his best..

31.Kansas City  F Anudike-Uzomah   DE  KSt  B+

Fills need, scheme fit is decent just a round early for me. Loaded team doesn't need much but this player will step in and contribute . Solid pick although there were some very talented players at other positions still available.

ROUND TWO

Pk      Team               Name               Pos     Sch    Grd

32.Pittsburgh     Joey Porter       CB     PSU     A+

MY TOP CB! Great pick, scheme fit, excellent size, quickness, speed and solid ball skills but lacked Int's. Great in run support.

33.Tennessee       Will Levis           QB      Ky       A

Great value here, excellent scheme and coaching foit for this gritty, tough player. He should fair well here and be glad he slipped to the 2nd round.

34.Detroit             Sam LaPorta    TE      Iowa   B

Solid player but just a round to soon for me. Well coached, solid in all aspects but spectacular in none.

35.Las Vegas       Michael Mayer TE      N D      A+

Complete steal at this point and Detroit will regret passing him up.

36.LA Rams       Steve Avila           C        TCU    C

Nice player with upside who fills a need but far to early, they could have had him at least a round later

37.Seattle          Derick Hall           DE      Aub   B-

About a round early but an extreme need for this team. I see better scheme fits on the board but a solid pick.

38.Atlanta          Matt Bergeron   OL      Syr    B-

Not a primary need and a round early but very solid and versatile OL performer who will find a spot, best long term at LT

39.Carolina     Jonathan Mingo  WR    Miss   F

Major reach here, character issues, drops, inconsistency, unperforming. When right he is explosive, dangerous and worthy of this pick. Problem is what do you get?

40.New Orleans Isaiah Foskey   DE      N D    A+

Excellent value here, major need and solid scheme fit, Very nice pick

41.Arizona       B J Ojulari            LB     LSU     A-

A round early for me but fills a major need, excellent schem fit for this productive player

42.Green Bay  Luke Musgrave   TE  OreSt   D

I've not ever figured out how others believe this guy is any more than a TE2. I'm staying with my assessment.

43.NY Jets  Joe Tippmann        C      Wisc     A+

Primary need filled, ideal scheme fit. From a consistent OL program a touch early but he may not have lasted to their next pick. Plug in aplay for 10 years guy.

44.Indianapolis  Julius Brents  DB   KSt    B

Is he a big CB or a FS, I can see levels of success at both but most likely at FS, a round to early but fills a need.

45.Detroit             Brian Branch     S    Ala    A+

MY #1 FS! Outstanding value, Fills need, nice fit and will start day 1. Best and most ready all around Safety on the board.

46.New England Keion White     DE GaT    C+

Ideal scheme fit and fills need but far to early as Bill is prone to do, several others would have been better here.

47.Washington Jartavius Martin   DB  Ill    F

What is he? Undersized College Safety with average athletic abilty. Very tough, hard hitter but highly questionable coverage skills. MONSTER reach and overvalue here. He would have been ther 2 rounds later and far better prospects on board. Further proof of this teams inept front office.

48.Tampa Bay    Cody Mauch       OL  NDSt   C-

Primary need but  better options more game ready on board. This interesting and  unique developmental player has the tools and attitude for sure but will take time to develop, expect little from him this season. Far to early for him.

49.Pittsburgh  Keeanu Benton   NT Wisc    A+

Perfect scheme fit , great value, solid player with versatility and upside, great pick!

50.Green  Bay Jayden Reed        WR  MSU    C

At time a very inconsistent player and also very explosive but just far to early for him here, has KR ability and could develop into a solid SWR but he would have been there at least around later.

51.Miami      Cam Smith              CB   SCar     D

Workout warrior who never got those abilities to the field. Former WR who is below average in run support, inconsistent in coverage. YES there is developmental upside but those guys get drafted 4th round or later. A reach for a major need, never a good draft philosophy.

52.Seattle   Zach Charbonnet     RB   UCLA   A+

Great value here, a player who improved every season, solid in all aspects but not  overly explosive. Should a nice  fit in this offense

53.Chicago    Gervon Dexter        DL    Fla        B-

Questionable fit but this player is rather versatile so he can make it work. Decent value and defense is a major need but better fits on board.

54.LA Chargers Tuli Tuipulotu    DE   USC    B

Fine player, decent value, definete need but a highly questionable fit in their defense. His versatility could make it work.

55.Kansas City  Rashee Rice       WR   SMU    B-

Could develop into a nice possession receiver and fills a need there. Solid athlete but not elite, great hands and production, a round or so to early.

 56.Chicago     Ty Stevenson      DB    Mia(F)  D

A versatile player who can player anywhere in secondary but he needs major work on technique and consistency. Very nice developmental prospect but wildly to early for him. Another reach for aneed, better players on board.

57.NY Giants  John M Schmitz    C    Minn   A

Fills a need, nice fit but a round early for me but at time need wins out in those sitsuations. Very good player, athletic, expieienced, versatile and should be a plug a play guy.

58.Dallas  Luke Schoonmaker    TE  Mich   F

This organization is such a mess, wasted pick on a strong blocker TE2 at best player.

59.Buffalo    O'Cyrus Torrence     G    Fla    A+

Fills primary need, excellent fit. He will start day one and be there for years to come, southern guys in Buffalo can be a concern but big guys lesser so. This is a home run pick!

60.Cincinnati  D J Turner          CB   Mich   D

Another reach for a primary need with better options available. Very quick and fast but also very soft and inconsistent. I see a career B/U with mutliple teams falling for his speed.

61.Jacksonville   Brenton Strange  TE      F

Another wasted pick, another organization in a mess, they have learned little since the Meyer Debacle.

62.Houston   Juice Scruggs   C   PennSt    F

WTH? MAJOR overreach for a guy who should have gone back to school and went to work. Yes he is athletic  has upside and development prospects and has shown flashes that in a few season may pan out but picks like this are why Houston has floundered since it's inception.

63.Denver      Marvin Mims       WR   Okl    A+

Great value, nice fit . While not a primary need he can develop into an elite SWR with his explosiveness, route running and hands.

ROUND THREE

Pk      Team                 Name          Pos     Sch     Grd

64.Chicago   Zacch Pickens       DT    SCar     F

Major reach to fill a desperate need. I'm not seeing what some do, 7.5 sacks in 4 seasons. great measurables but production never matched those numbers.

65.Philadelphia  Tyler Sheen  OT    Ala       C

Not a need  and at leats a round early with better options on the board.  He still he is an intersting developmental and  swing OL prospect who will have time and a deep team to learn from.

66.Philadelphia  Sydney Brown  DB   ILL   A

Solid value here but long term success depends on where they play him, I see him at SS not CB but he can contribute somewhere plus Special teams until he hits the rotation.

67.Denver     Drew Sanders       LB     Ark     A+

Not a perfect scheme fit or a primary need but 1st round talent at this point grades out well regardless. They might move him outside and he has the versatility to excel there also, great pick.

68.Detroit     Hendon Hooker   QB   Tenn  A+

Not a primary need but to good to pass up here, he wiil be starting at some point sooner rather than later.

69.Houston  Nathaniel Dell       WR   Hou   A-

A bit early but fills need, nice fit. He can double up as a KR untill he breaks into the rotation which likely will not take long on this team.

70.Las Vegas  Byron Young        DL     Ala     B

A round early but fills a need and he has developmental upside and versatility.

71.New Orleans Kendre Miller  RB  TCU    C+

One of my SLEEPERS but N.O. saw the same thing I did and took him here likely much earlier than they had to. that said, this can definetly work out and he can start if he plays up to ability.

72.Arizona    Garrett Williams   CB   Syr       B

If healthy he fills primary need but I see him at SCB due to lack of height, he can be decent outside but can excel inside where his quickness and ball skills will be best used

73.NY Giants  Jalin Hyatt            WR  Tenn    A+

Getting 1st round talent in round 3 is always a good thing.  Tremendous pick and he will be the deep threat this team needs.

74.Cleveland  Cedric Tillman    WR  Tenn    A+

Another 1st round talent going in round 3. The injury has healed and will not be an issue. The team needed size outside and he provides that. Homerun pick.

75.Atlanta     Zach Harrison        DE   OSU    A+

Fills a need, solid value at this point and anice scheme fit, he should be in rotation from day 1 and starting by year end.

76.New England  Marte Mapu    S     SacSt   F

Bill reaching to far to early as he is prone to do. Yes there is some crazy upside to this very athletic player, wild skill set and size speed combo but painfully raw and will take time. They could have had him 3 rounds later.

77.LA Rams  Byron Young            LB   Tenn    A

Not really a primary need but anice scheme fit who likely will force his way onto the field. Excellent value at this point and will help team.

78.Green Bay  Tucker Kraft        TE    SDSt   D+

Major team need. But I seriously question this pick. Small school guy who will need time and patience, I just do not see him stepping in a playing a major role this season, MAYBE next season. Better options available

79.Indianapolis  Josh Downs    WR  NCar   A+

Fills major team need, I do not see him on the outside but in the slot he can be very successful, lightning quick but long speed in average but he will help this team day 1.

80.Carolina   DJ Johnson            LB    Ore    B-

Nice value here but if they insist on playing him at LB he will struggle in this scheme. Look for him to get reps at DE before the season is to old where he can become a solid rotational player with upside.

81.Tennessee  Tyjae Spears       RB   Tula    B-

I'm not sold enough after one huge season to take him this early but great scheme fit as he could have success as a nice change of pace back in this offense so not a terrible pick, this also may work out well.

82.Tampa Bay  YaYa Diaby          DE    Lou    C-

Not a primary need, not a scheme fit and a round early. I do not understand this pick

83.Denver  Riley Moss                  DB   Iowa   C

Not a primary need, a round or so early. Not sure where they plan to play him but he will excel on Special teams for sure until he finds a spot.

84.Miami    Devon Achane          RB   TxAM   A+

Fills major need but questionable fit. I don't see him as primary back but if carries are shared this could work out very well, I'm feeling it will.

85.LA Chargers  Daiyin Henry   LB   WaSt    B+

Decent value, excellent scheme fit but not a primary need. 6 year college player who only develpoped the last two but he has great quickness and upside.

86.Baltimore  Trenton Simpson LB  Clem   A

GREAT value but not a scheme fit or primary need but to much talent to pass up here so they will likely move him inside and he can be effective there.

87.San Francisco Ji'Ayer Brown  S   PSU    B

Great value but not a primary need, look for him to be a force on special teams and see the field in multi DB sets sooner rather than later.

88.Jacksonvile  Tank Bigsby       RB  Aub    F

Inconsistent former lofty recruit who never put it all together except for flashes. Wildly to early and numerous better options on the board.

89.LA Rams   Kobie Turner         DT   WFrst    F

4 sacks in 5 seasons and only one year in FBS.  They could have had him 3 rounds later, another pick I just do not understand.

90.Dallas  DeMarvin Overshown LB  Tx    F

Head scratcher here, several rounds to early, not a primary need, scheme fit? Is he a LB, is he a SS. Tweeners occasionally work out but usually struggle to find a home, that's what I see happening here.

91.Buffalo   Dorian Willaims        LB    Tula   B-

A minor need, a round early for me and not an ideal scheme fit. That said he looks to have the versatility to play any LB position and will be a demon on special teams while he learns.

92.Kansas City  Wanya Morris    OT    Okl     C

Not a team need, a round to early for me. Former elite recruit who never lived up to that hype, he definetely has developmental ability and will get that time at KC.

93.Pittsburgh Darnell Washington  TE  Ga  A+

If I could make this grade higher I would! Not a serious need but watch for two TE sets from this team very soon. He will end up winning the starting job.

94.Arizona   Micheal Wilson         WR   Stan  F

I just do not see what some teams and other analysts do, this pick will haunt them when some others picked after excell.

95.Cincinnati  Jordan Battle         S     Ala     A+

TREMENDOUS  value here, 1st round ability in round 3. Not sure why he fell but many teams will regret it. Solid in all phases. Look for him on the field very early and often.

96.Detroit    Brodric Martin          DL   WKy    F

A late round developmental NT to me, not a scheme fit, does fill a need in a way but he will struggle playing DT in 4-3. Could have had him 3 rounds later.

97.Washington  Ricky Stromberg  OL  Ark  C+

Fills a need, solid fit but a couple of rounds to early with better options available.

98.Cleveland  Siaki Ika                    DT     Bay    D-

Another later round player that does not fit scheme or the actual need. He would have been there at least a round later and likely 2. But the fit is areal problem.

99.San Francisco  Jake Moody     K      Mich   C

Top K in the Draft and it's time for a new K in Frisco but he would have been there much later and other players would have helped them more at this spot.

100.Las Vegas  Tre Tucker             WR    Cinn   C

Not really a primary need as I see him as a slot guy all the way, has developmental prospects for sure and has nice KR ability that will help, That said  this pick is a couple rounds early for me.

101.San Francisco  Cameron Latu  TE  Ala   A

Not a need , yet. But breaking in a new TE to take over will prove valuable and this is excellent value here.

102.Minnesota  Mekhi Blackmon   CB  USC    B

Not a need but great value at the spot, solid player who will excel on Special teams until he finds a spot

ROUND FOUR

Pk      Team               Name                 Pos  Sch   Grd

103.New Orleans  Nick Salvideri  OL   ODU   F

Far to early for this player, has some developmental upside

104.Las Vegas   Jakorian Bennett CB    Md    B

Maybe around early but he does have developmental upside, will need to play ST.

105.Philadelphia  Kelee Ringo       CB     Ga   A+

Has everything you want but it's needs to be there every down, CB or FS, he can be a star if he decides he wants to be,

106.Indianapolis  Blake Freeland  OT   BYU   A+

Great athlete. he will start somewhere by next season and be called a STEAL!!

107.New England  Jake Andrews   G    Troy   F

He would have been on board 2 two rounds later , at least

108.Seattle   Anthony Bradford   G     LSU   F

Has some veratility but far to early for this project.

109.Houston   Dylan Horton       DE    TCU   A

Nice value at this point, has some rush skills.

110.Indianapolis  Ade Adebawore DT  NW  A+

GREAT VALUE here, strong run defender but little pass rush ability inspite of test numbers.

111.Cleveland  Dawand Jones    OT   OSU   A+

If they can find his 'ON SWITCH" and keep it on, they'll have a STEAL!

112.New England  Chad Ryland         K    Md   F

I guess I need to find a lower grade, this is the WORST PICK in the entire draft!!

113.Atlanta            Clark Phillips        CB    Ut    A+

Teams were obsessed with measurables and foolishly passed this guy. He will play this season.

114.Carolina    Chandler Zavalla    G   NCSt   F

To early by at least 2 rounds, he does have verstilty and some upside, likely career B/U

115.Chicago     Rochon Johnson     RB   Tx      A+

GREAT PICK!!   He'll be playing major minutes soon and starting before mid season.

116.Green Bay  Colby Wooden      DE   Aub    D

Never consistently lived up to measureables, likely will never.

117.New England  Sidy Sow          G    EMich   F

Another reach for this team, UDFA to me.

118.Washington Breaden Daniels   OT  Ut     A+

Even blind squirrels find nuts, GREAT PICK and value. He'll start by the opener.

119.Kansas City  Charmarri Conner  S  VaT   D

Has some upside but not this early, better option on board.

120.NY Jets            Carter Warren    OT  Pitt    B+

Another player who has the tools but consistency has not been there. Decent gamble here

121.Jacksonville  Ventrel Miller     LB   Fla   A+

Tremendous value for this undersized player who was a victim of poor coaching.

122.Arizona           Jon Gaines           G  UCLA  F

Far to early for this developmental project.

123.Seattle     Cameron Young   DT  MissSt   D

A reach this early for this player

124.Baltimore  Tavious Robinson DE Miss   A

Nice value here, versatile player can fit in numerous schemes.

125.LA Chargers  Deius Davis         WR  TCU     B+

Can be decent to solid slot guy with some work, great KR ability, a touch early but not terrible.

126.Cleveland  Isaiah McGuire      DE   Mo     F

Major reach, poor fit , would have been on board 2/3 rounds later. Bad pick!

127.New Orleans  Jake Haener     QB   Fres    F

Sucked in by test numbers, that never ends well.

128.LA Rams    Stetson Bennett    QB   Ga       B

I said in the ratings, if he humbles up, loses the "Manzeil" attitude he can play in this league a long time.

129.Dallas    Viliami Fehoko            DE   SJSt  D

Has upside for sure but needs work, far to early.

130.Jacksonville  Tyler Lacy          DT   OkSt   C+

One of my 'SLEEPERS' but this was to early, they could of had him much later.

131.Cincinnati   Charlie Jones     WR    Pur     A

Nice value here, he should fit well in this offense an has KR ability.

132.Pittsburgh  Nic Herbig            LB  Wisc    A+

Excellent value and fit, he fell into a perfect situation for his skillset.

133.Chicago     Tyler Scott             WR  Cinn    A

Nice value here, solid slot player who must develop so KR ability, he has the tools.

134.Minnesota  Jay Ward          CB   LSU    A

Excellent value here for this slim but speedy player, not a true CB, I see him best at FS but he will find a home

135.Las Vegas  Aiden O'Connell   QB Pur    F

Wildly to early for this player who's ceiling is QB2 at best.

ROUND FIVE

Pk      Team                 Name        Pos      Sch    Grd

136.Jacksonville Yassir Abdullah  LB  Lou   B

A round early for me but a nice fit for this athletic player, he should contribute this season.

137.Washington   K J Henry        DE    Clem   B-

A round early for me, solid player with a solid skillset, could make rotation this season in Wash.

138.Indianapolis  Darius Rush   CB   SCar    D

One of my SLEEPERS but still far to early for him here. Former WR does have some interesting upside.

139.Arizona    Clayton Tune      QB      Hou    F

Just far to early for this QB who while experienced and well coached is below average in all phases, QB2 is his maximum spot and that is questionable.

140.Cleveland  D T Robinson  QB    UCLA  F

Similar to  Tune but far more erratic arm, experienced and well-coached but just not worth this pick in any way, likely destined for practice squad, if he's lucky.

141.Minnesota  Jaquelin Roy   DT    LSU   B

Solid value here but I see him at the Nose for his future, I'm doubful he will excel at DT.

142.Cleveland  Cam Mitchell    CB     N W    B-

A round early for this guy, I'm not sure he has the skills for CB, may end up B/U Safety and special teamer, better option still available

143.NY Jets Israel Abanikanda  RB   Pitt    A

Nice spot for this limited but solid player, likely a career B/U

144.New England  Antonio Mafi  G   UCLA   F

I'm not sure he would have been drafted, overdrafting is the theme for the Pats this year.

145.Carolina  Jammie Robinson S   FlaSt   A+

Look for this undersized player to force his way onto the field. Will be a Special teams DEMON!!

146.New Orleans  Jordan Howden  S Minn  B

A round early but a nice player who has upside and Special teamer star ability.

147.Tennessee  Josh Whyle      TE    Cinn   F

He can help in run game but very limeted in pass game, far to early with better option on board.

148.Chicago   Noah Sewell      LB      Ore    B

Excellent value but questionable fit. I'm not sold on him in this defense. I'm not sure what the plan is for him.

149.Green Bay Sean Clifford  QB      PSU    F

Would likely been available as a UDFA, why waste a pick this early with other players on board with a much higher ceiling.

150.Buffalo  Justin Shorter    WR     Fla    B+

One of my SLEEPERS!!  They likely could have had him later but I still like this pick. He twice picked Colleges poorly and that stunted his growth, Tremendous raw talent, Look for him to surprise.

151.Seattle  Mike Morris          DE     Mich     F

WAY to early for a player who should have gone back to school, he had one good season.

152.Detroit  Colby Sorsdal     OT     W&M   F

Wasted pick!! He would have been UDFA, if you for some reason this that much about him,7th round!!

153.Tampa Bay  SirVocea Dennis  LB  Pitt   A+

Tremendous value. The only question is the not ideal fit. He is talented enough to start in any defense.

154.Seattle  Oluseun Oluwatimi  C   Mich   A

Very good value here for a very strong ande experienced play with starter potential.

155.SanFrancisco   Darell Luter   CB  SAla   F

Major reach here, at least 2 rounds early, better options on board.

156.LA Chargers Jordan McFadden G  Clem  A

Nice value here, very athletic but undersized player who may surprise.

157.Baltimore  Kyu Blu Kelley   CB   Stan   A

Excellent value here. Great measurables, production slipped last season with teams staying clear of his side of the field. He has definite starter ability.

158.Indianapolis  Daniel Scott   S    Cal    A

Solid value here, 6th year player, overachiever with limited athlete, but smart, nice fit forSpecial teams

159.Green Bay Dontavion Wicks WR   Vir   A

Victim of poor scheme fit and inconsistent QB play in College, Nice value here.

160.Jacksonville  Antonio Johnson S  TAM  A+

I would ad a plus if I could, TREMENDOUS VALUE!! He should have gone back to school but the flashes when he plays up to ability make him one of the best picks in draft at this spot.Wild upside and raw ability.

161.LA Rams    Nick Hampton   LB   AppSt   A+

Not a perfect fit but excellent value here. 26.5  career sacks, he can move outside and help day one.

162.Indianapolis  Will Mallory  TE  Mia(F)  A+

Love this pick, GREAT value here. This player was a victim of a poor College choice and coaching staff. He will outplay this spot.

163.Cincinnati  Chase Brown   RB    ILL    A+

Nice value for this tweener who could find a spot in the rotation and be effective if used properly.

164.Minnesota  Jaren Hall        QB    BYU   A

Great spot for this developmental guy with some upsde, best QB pick of this round.

165.Chicago  Terel Smith     CB     Minn    F

I just don't understand this pick! Why? If he was getting drafted it was 7th round, waste of a pick here.

166.Kansas City  BJ Thompson  LB  SFA   A-

Very good value but fit is a question. Nice landing spot but where will he play? Small College star with wild athletic ability who will need work.

167.Houston  Henry To'o To'o    LB  Ala   A+

TREMENDOUS VALUE!! 1st round talent who slid. Fit may not be ideal but to good topass up here. One of the TOP PICKS in the draft at this spot.

168.Arizona   Owen Pappoe     LB   Aub   C+

To early for me, others had him rated higher as this team did. I'm not seeing a starter here, B/U and special teamer and this is early with some other options on board.

169.Dallas  Asim Richards      OT   NCar    F

Major reach here for this developmental OL at least ayear from any contribution. Just far to early.

170.Las Vegas  Chris Smith     S     Ga    D+

Tweener, I think he will have to make it as an undersized Safety but build like a slot guy, should be a solid Special teamer.

171.Tampa Bay  Payne Durham  TE  Pur  A+

Another GREAT value pick here, look for him to contributr sooner rather than later.

172.NY Giants  Eric Gray     RB    Okl   A+

GREAT PICK!! Watch for this player to outplay this draft spot and have a nice career.

173.San Francisco  Robert Beal  DE  Ga    B

Athletic but inconsistent player, is he a DE, a OLB?  Then hard work will be needed.

174.LA Rams  Warren McClendon OT Ga  A

Excelent value here for this Guard or Rt, not sure where he will play but definetely has starter potential.

175.LA Rams  Davis Allen       TE   Clem   A

Solid value here for a very solid but unspectacular player who can become a TE2 for numerous seasons.

176.Indianapolis   Evan Hull  RB   N W   C+

While I believe he will make this team and contribute they coaulhave had hem much later.

177.LA Rams  Puka Nacua     WR   BYU    F

Not sure what they are seeing, nice size and has some ability but  UDFA, will likely spend the season inactive.

ROUND SIX/SEVEN

ROUND SIX

Pk      Team       Name                  Pos      Sch     Grd

178.Dallas    Eric Scott               DB    SMiss     F

Head scratcher here but it is Dallas, UDFA at best, wasted pick with options on board.

179.Green Bay   Karl Brooks    DE     BGU     A

Solid value, excellent fit and fills a need, a touch early but likely will not matter.

180.Arizona    Kei'trel Clark   CB   Lou      A+

Tremendous value at this spot, he will be on the field regular early and a fixure on special teams

181.Tampa Bay  Josh Hayes  CB   KaSt      F

He had one average season in CFB, wasted pick.

182.LA Rams  Tre'vius Hodges Tomlinson   CB   TCU     A+

One of the Top picks in the entire draft, he will force his way onto the field early and wildly outplay this spot.

183.Denver   J L Skinner          SS  BoiSt   A+

Another Top  pick of the draft, when he is starting very early you will see why, 1st round talent.

184.NY Jets   Zaire Barnes      LB  WMich     F

UDFA in my book. He does have some athletic upside and special teams worth.

185.Jacksonville         Parker Washington WR  PSU   A+

My Top ranked SWR. He will  become the best pick of the round and will play akey part this season.

186.Tennessee  Jaelyn Duncan  OT  Md  A+

I have no idea why this player slipped so far, every team in the league will regret passing on him. He will be a starter sooner rather than later.

187.N England  Kayshon Boute WR  LSU   A+

Tremendous value here for this underachiever who thought he was going much higher, if he works hard he can be a WR3, if not out of the league in 3 seasons.

188.Philadelphia Tanner McKee QB  Stan   B+

Tremendous value here but with players on team and board a questionable pick. Very raw but has all the tools to be very good, when he see's the field.

189.LA Rams   Ochaun Mathis      DE   TCU   C

UDFA to me, has great measurables but consistency is missing.

190.Cleveland  Luke Wypler        C      OSU   A-

I said he should have gone back to school, case rested on that. Excellent value here but need is questionable but likely to good to pass up.

191.Tampa Bay  Trey Palmer   WR    Neb    A+

As I said in my predraft evaluation, poor decision to declare, is he a slot or Outside guy? Excellent value here.

192.New England  Brice Baringer  P  MSU   C

Big leg but better options on board, if he can improve his net this will not be that bad, still to early.

193.Washington  Chris Rodriguez  RB   Ky   D+

Tough gritty player who may stick at RB3, they have so many needs and they could have had him as a UDFA.

194.Kansas City  Keondre Coburn  NT Tex   B+

Tremendous value but fit is highly questionable, he is a NT and will struggle in any position on this defense.

195.New Orleans    A T Perry    WR   W Fst    A+

Tremendous value, tough to find playing time, but he will see the field this seaon and excell when he does.

196.Tampa Bay  Jose Ramirez    LB  E Mich   A+

College DE who will need to learn this position, I say he will quicker than most believe. Excellent value here.. Excels in Pass rush and will specialize there for this season.

197.Miami  Elijah Higgins             WR   Stan   F

I did not even rank him, a player without a position, wasted pick, UDFA at best.

198.Seattle   Jerrik Reed                S        NMex   F

UDFA at best and interest there would have been limited, wasted pick!

199.Baltimore   Mal A Laulu         OL      Ore   A-

Has some serious developmental upside and an ideal fit for this offense, solid  but a round early for me pick

200.LA Chargers  Scott Matlock  DT  BoiSt   B+

A round early but decent value, excellent fit, fills a need. He should see the field in rotations this season.

201.Houston   Jarrett Patterson  C    N D  A+

Look for him to push higher pick Scruggs to Guard, they should have reversed how they picked them

202.Jacksonvile  Chris Braswelll DB  Rut    F

I'm not sure what they are seeing here but he is an UDFA to me at best., wasted pick.

203.Las Vegas  Amari Burney        LB    Fla    C+

Fits scheme and could surprise but early for this guy.

204.NY Jets   J Bernard Converse         CB   LSU   B-

Nice size and some developmental upside but a round early, can contribute on Special Teams.

205.Houston Xavier Hutchinson  WR  IoSt   A+

He will wildly outplay this draft position, excellent possession receiver who will rise quickly.

206.Cincinnati  Andrei Losivas     WR  Prin  A-

Nice landing spot for this very athletic player who will need a year of adjusting to the NFL game.

207.Green Bay   Anders Carlson    K    Aub   F

Apparently they never wathed his games, complete waste of a pick. Especially with other Kickers on board.

208.Jacksonvile  Eric Hallett        DB  Pitt    A+

Versatile player, somewhat limited athletic ability, look for him to excel on Special Teams.

209.NY Giants   Tre Hawkins       CB    ODU    F

Tweener who likely will need to move back at this level, nice athlete but very limited in coverage,UDFA to me.

210.N England Demario Douglas  WR Lib  B-

Not the reach of some of the Pat's picks but still a rould early. KR ability will help while he learns the game at this level.

211.Indianapolis  Titus Leo   LB  Wagner   F

Wasted  pick, small school UDFA, they had 2 7th rounders if they wanted him that bad.

212.Dallas   Deuce Vaughn           RB  KaSt   A+

Tremendous value, fills a serious need, nice fit, he should do quite weel here.

213.Arizona  Dante Stills              DT   W V   A+

Versatile and underrated player who will be in rotation from day one and likely playing major snaps by seasons end if not starting. Not an ideal fit but hehas the tools to make it work.

214.N England Ameer Speed     CB  MSU   F

Another wildly unnecessary reach for the Pat's, the theme of their draft, UDFA tweener with limited upside.

215.LA Rams  Zach Evans             RB   Miss  A

This is where to take this guy with all the talent to be a star but a 10 cent head, he can be as star if he wants to be. Great gamble here.

216.San Franciso  Dee Winters  LB   TCU   C+

Fills need but fit is highly questionable and a round early.

217.Cincinnati  Brad Stevens      P    Mich    F

Far better options available and far to early, UDFA at best.

    ROUND SEVEN

Pk      Team               Name              Pos    Sch   Grd

218.Chicago     Travis Bell           DL   Kenn     F

Undersized small school player with limited upside, Wasted pick.

219.Detroit     Antoine Green    WR  NCar   A+

Excellent value here, has a knack for big plays but consistency is fleeting but solid gamble at this point.

220.NY Jets    Zach Kuntz           TE    ODU   A+

Not a need but this pick could be the best of the round, very athletic player who will see the field.

221.Indianapolis  Jaylon Jones        DB      TexA&M    A

I said he should have gone back to school and that was correct. The pick is solid at this point, excellent athlete and if  they can get him humbled and focused they may have something special in a few seasons.

222.Minnesota   DeWayne McBride  RB     UAB   A+

Tweener back that will have to find his niche but excellent value at this point.

223.LA Rams   Ethan Evans    P     Wing   C

Big, athletic, strong leg. Small school guy who will need some serious work to deal with the bright lights.

224.Atlanta  DeMarco Hellums  S  Ala  A+

TREMENDOUS VALUE!!  He will wildly outplay this spot, starter before the end of next season.

225.Atlanta  Jovaughn Gwyn    OL  SCar  F

Very expirienced but undersized and topped out, he will struggle mightily with NFL DT's

226.Jacksonville  Cooper Hodges OL     AppSt      F

UDFA  with a minimal chance to make a team in my opinion. Tweener who will struggle to find a spot.

227.Jacksonvile    Raymond VohasekDT  NCar      F

UDFA to me with minimal chance to make a team, I don't understand this pick.

228.Tennessee      Colton Dowell  WR  Tenn Mar    F

Small school player with size and some athletic ability, 2 years away from anything, wasted pick.

229.Baltimore    Andrew Vorhees   OL  USC    A+

BEST PICK of the round, he will be playing major minutes before the end of the season, possibly starting.

230.Buffalo   Nick Broeker      OL MissSt      A

Great pick, versatile player who will fit nicely in swing role.

231.Green Bay    Nesta Jade SilveraDT   ASU        A+

Outstanding value here, versatile player who can fill in at several positions, EXCELLENT late round pick.

232.Las Vegas   Carrington Valintine  DB   Ky     C+

Decent value here  but UDFA would be better, nice size, should help on Special Teams.

233.Washington   Andre Jones    DE   ULL     D

Nice athlete with loads of experience, topped out but he can contribute.

234.LA Rams   Jason Taylor     S    OkSt       A

Big hitter strong in run game but limited athlete, limited in coverage. Should become a demon Special teamer. Solid value here.

235.Green Bay   Lew Nichols      RB  CMich     A

Excellent value here but he will struggle to get carries on this team so need/fit is questionable.

236.Indianapolis  Jake Witt      OL  NIll       C+

Athletic former TE with some upside, nice Practice Squad candidate..

237.Seattle  Kenny McIntosh    RB   Ga   A+

Tremendous value a this spot, he will find his niche and surprise at some point!!

238.Miami    Ryan Hayes           OL  Mich     A+

An absolute steal at this point, he will be a starter at some point in the next two seasons.

239.LA Chargers  Max Dugan    QB   TCU    A

Good landing spot for him, he can develop into a solid B/U here.

240.Jacksonvile  Derek Parrish  DE  Hou    D

Rush specialist with little ability to do much else, UDFA to me.

241.Pittsburgh  Cory Trice          CB  Pur     A

Nice value here, College CB who should be moved to FS and very well could be in this defense. If he can make that move he will out play this position.

242.Green Bay  Anthony Johnson   DB   IoSt   D

UDFA for me, marginal NFL athetisism. Could be  a solidSpecial t eams player.

243.NY Giants   Jordan Riley      NT    Ore    A

Solid scheme fit and great value at this spot, solid pick.

244.Dallas        Jalen Brooks       WR   SCar   F

Nice size but 58 rec and 2 TD's in 3 seasons and a marginal athlete, typical Cowboy wasted pick.

245.New England   Isaiah Bolden    DB  JacSt   F

I don't care what Deion says, quality of competition was far below average and this player was not dominant.

246.Cincinnati   DJ Ivey         CB  Mia(F)      F

Marginal UDFA for me. Solid athletically ,never developed solid technique, very inconsistent, Practice squad.

247.San Francisco  Brayden Willis    TE  Okl     F

Undersized limited blocker, average receiver, marginal athlete, wasted pick.

248.Houston    Brandon Hill        DB  Pitt    A+

Nice value, versatile player who may end up at multiple positions. Should be very valuable on Special teams.

249.Philadelphia   Moro Ojomo  DE   Tex     F

Not sure where they see this tweener, pehaps some sort of swing DL, I doubt he makes this team.

250.Kansas City   Nic Jones       DB   NIll      D+

Not sure where he ends up, outside or Slot. He will need to excel on Special teams.

251.Pittsburgh   Spencer Anderson  OL   Md    A

Solid value at this point, nice fit with swing OL potential.

252.Buffalo   Alex Austin      DB   OreSt     D+

Excellent athlete but production never matched, nice size and very experienced, good landing spot for him.

253.SanFrancisco   Ronny Bell   WR  Mich    F

UDFA to me and one with little chance to make a team, wasted pick

254.NY Giants  Gervarrious Owens  DB  Hou    A

Nice value here, has some upside and should do well on special teams.

255.San Francisco   Jalen Graham    DB   Pur     F

Tweener who likely will never find a position, Could be a good Special teamer, strange pick.

256.Green Bay   Grant Dubose       WR     Char   F

They see something I do not. Limited athlete at his peak. But perhaps a year on the practice squad will help.

257.Denver    Alex Forsyth      OL      Ore       A+

Very versatile player with multi position experience, EXCELLENT value here.

258.Chicago   Kendall Williamson   DB   Stan     F

Has the measurables but not the production.

259.LA Rams   Desjaun Johnson     DL   Tol    C

Athletic DT from a small conference where he did not dominate

        2023      QUARTERBACK RANKINGS

Rank       Name        School      Ht     Wt    Rtg    Rnd Value

1.C J Stroud             OSU         6-3    215    94      Mid 1st

OVERRATED ALERT!! Very accurate on all throws, smart, calm, well coached in pass game. NOT atheltic, arm strength solid but unspectacular. VERY SOFT and does not react well to contact or constant pressure, that could be a serious problem if drafted by a poor team.

2.Hendon Hooker   Tenn   6-3   217  89       Early 2nd

INJURY ALERT!! Likely will slide lower than this. He can make all the throws though arm strength is not elite. Surprising  athlete and fearless to a fault. Has some injury history that is a concern.

3.Will Levis           Ky    6-4    229     88       Early 2nd

OVERRATED ALERT!! Tough, gritty gamer who did not take the next step I thought he would this season. Strong arm, plus athlete and again, very tough. Not the most consistent arm and that could be a major issue.

4.Bryce Young     Ala    5-10  204    84       Early 3rd

BUST ALERT!! MOST have him in TOP 5 OVERALL, I'm not seeing that. Talented, creative but short, slight frame, average arm strength, decent athete but not great. Still makes all the throws but timing is critical to his success. Solid athlete but with his frame injuries will become a problem. Keep him clean and you could have a middle of the pack QB.

5.Jaren Hall      BYU        6-0    207    79       Mid 4th

Similar to Young, does not blow you away with anything but the sum of all parts could become a solid QB with long term B/U ability at the least. 4th round , that's good value!

6.Tanner McKee   Stan   6-6    231    78     Mid 4th

Sure looks the part, big arm, athletic enough but very inconsitent. He will need work to become a solid B/U. I Don't see long term starter ability.

7.Stetson Bennett   Ga    5-10   190   76       Mid 5th

CHARACTER ALERT!! SLEEPER ALERT!! I can see him being another Colt McCoy easily. MUST loose the Manziel like act !! If his humbles and learns his place he could stay aroung the league for a decade or longer making a nice living as a B/U. If he does not change his attitude he will NOT make it.

8.Anthony Richardson Fla   6-4  244   75   Late 5th

BUST ALERT!! FREAKISH athlete, CANNON arm!! I've heard the comparisons, Newton, Jackson. Well I have one Jake Locker!! And unfortunately I see him going that way, look at their College Stats! He needed TWO more years in College in a better offense. A GM will loose his job on this guy!

9.Aiden O'Connell   Pur    6-3     213   72    Mid 7th

Solid athlete, average arm at best.Has a chance to make a team as a B/U

10.Clayton Tune  Hou   6-2    220    70      Late 7th

Below average arm, accurate, well coached but nothing but a Career B/U at best.

11.Max Dugan     TCU      6-1    207    69      Late 7th

Gamer, tough, limited skills but could hang around a couple seasons.

12.Tyson Bagent   Shep       6-3    213     68      PFA

Not draftable. Small school stud worth a look at this point, Why not.

13.Shawn Clifford   PSU  6-2   220      67      UDFA

SLEEPER ALERT!! Toughest guy on the board at this position. He could surprise in the right offense a make a team. Could hold down QB3 for a couple years then become a coach.

14.D T Robinson   UCLA  6-2    203     67     UDFA

Lot's of experience, also LOT'S of miles! Arm below average, accuracy below average and very inconsistent, decent athlete. Worth a look as a B/U at this spot.

15.Jake Haener     SJSt  6-0   207     66      UDFA

Solid player in a smaller conference. Has a chance to stick.

16.Holton Ahlers    ECar   6-3    237     65      UDFA

Big , athletic, can make some throws. Worth a look and a practice squad spot..

17.Tommy DeVito      Ill    6-1   206      65      UDFA

Experienced player, unspectacular at everthing but has played alot.

18.Tanner Morgan   Minn   6-2    216     64   UDFA

Another small school player, plus athlete, Arm strength below aveage.

24.Chase Brice     AppSt   6-2    237     56     UDFA

Has improved every season. Excellent size, power /speed combo.

3.Rochon Johnson       Tx   6-0  225   87     Late 2nd

SLEEPER ALERT!! Has all the tools, and would have started on 125 other college teams. Likely to be available in 3rd or possibly even early 4th, some team will get a very solid RB on the cheap.

4.Sean Tucker           Syr   5-10    209   86     Early 3rd

Didn't have the season I  expected in '22. but his team in general was not the same. Good hands, very good quickness and speed, solid reciever, just solid back all around

5.Mohamed Ibrahim     Minn  5-10    210   84  Mid 3rd

INJURY ALERT!!Strong inside runner with surprising burst, injury history is a concern. He could slide much lower than this and be an EXCELLENT gamble.

6.Zach Evans         Miss    5-11    212   83     Late 3rd

CHARACTER ALERT!! Sky is the limit if he ever gets his head right, been that way since HS. I'm dubious he ever lives up to VAST potential, he checks all the boxes on paper, still solid gamble pick here

7.Eric Gray             Okl       5-10    210   82     Early 4th

SLEEPER ALERT!! Could really outplay his draft position. Have vast potential in correct offense

OVERRATED ALERT!! Lacks elite top end speed, on the small side for a power back, Tweener!

Great burst, has periods of elite play but needs consistency.

10.DeWayne McBride    UAB   5-11 215   78  Late 4th

I could be wrong on this one. But again, limited top end speed, not big enough to make it as a pure power back, TWEENER!

11.Lew Nichols          CMich   5-10  220   76   Mid 5th

Should have returned to school or transferred up. I often wonder who is advising these kids,

Solid at everthing, great at nothing.Likely career B/U.

13.Tavion Thomas         Utah    6-1     225    72    Late 6th

VERY dissaponting season, I thought he would step up, he stepped back. Likely never more than a short yardage specialist.

SLEEPER ALERT!! Likely not drafted till late, GREAT gamble. Great size, speed combo.

1.Devon Achane TxA&M  5-8  185   88   Mid  2nd

Victim of terrible QB play and weak coaching. Explosive, surprising strength, KR ability. can run inside and has both quickness and long speed. Soft hands, will need route work. He could outplay this ranking.

2.Jahmyr Gibbs  Ala  5-11   200  87   Late 2nd

Very nice all aroung skillset, very nice size/speed combo for APB usage. He definetly could fill in a full time RB if needed

3.Deuce Vaughn     KSt    5-6     175     78   Late 4th

SLEEPER ALERT!! I seem to be higher on him that others. Being drafted by the correct team will be CRITICAL to what level of success he achieves.

4.Xavavian Valladay AZSt 6-0    198  76    Mid 5th

SLEEPER ALERT!! GREAT late round pick, could easily handle RB duty when needed.

5.Tyjae Spears     Tula   5-10   200     75    Late 5th

Great story from last season, could develope into a very valuable RB2

6.Keaton Mitchell  ECU  5-8 180     74    Early 6th

Very explosive, solid hands, VERY small and slight of build. He will need to learn to return kicks to have a longer career. He did very little KR at ECU.

Tough, gritty surprising quickness. He could stick around a few seasons.

1.Jaxson Smith-Njigba       OSU      6-1    198    98     Top 5

Yes last season was a waste. That said, has all the tools, recieved ELITE coaching, excellent route runner, elite body control, best hands in the entire group, has enough size, very quick and elite top end speed.

2.Quentin Johnson         TCU     6-3     210   93     Mid 1st

Great size  and straight line speed, technically not as sound but tremendous raw athletic ability. Potential to be just as good as JSN but not polished at this point now due to offensive system played in College.

3.Cedric Tillman           Tenn 6-3     213   92     Mid 1st

Without out injury  he might be this high on all lists. Istill see him that way, great size., not a burner but solid functional speed, great hands, decent route runner. Strong , tough, will fight for ball with the best.

4.Jalin Hyatt                Tenn    6-1     180   90     Late 1st

Best deep threat in group gets him this ranking. Somewhat raw as a route runner, has concentration lapses, needs work on short game but creates separation on deep routes like very few accomplish. That gives him 1st round value but he will require some work and patience.

5.Jordan Addison       USC    5-11   175   89     Early 2nd

BUST ALERT!!  Former top recruit than really never lived up to potential in my book. Could end up in slot, I almost ranked him there. More quick than fast, on the small side, elite route runner, uses body well, great hands. His expirience is on the outside and that is where he will make or brake his carreer.

6. A T Perry                     Wake Frst 6-3     200    88    Early 2nd

Great size, speed average, excellent hands, uses big body well, he is a great possession guy but will not stretch the field. Needs some route-running work but could easily develop to WR2.

7.Kayshon Boutte    LSU       5-11   195    86     Early 3rd

OVERRATED ALERT!! Just not seeing elite traits on the field, WR3 at best to me. Production just never matched testing numbers. To me he was an underachiever. If you can get him to work you could have a star, or he could be out of the league in 3 seasons.

8.Xavier Hutchinson IoSt    6-2     203    85     Mid 3rd

Excellent possession WR candidate. likely very effective WR3/WR4 who coiuld easily rise to WR2. Over 250 receptions last 3 seasons.

9.Bryce Ford Wheaton    WVir       6-4      221   84    Late 3rd

SLEEPER ALERT!! Excellent size/speed combo. Never lived up to ability due to coaching and average at best QB play. In right system this guy could explode and become WR1

10.Rashee Rice               SMU   6-1     204   82    Early 4th

Great production, improved every season, hard worker, very good hands and route runner. Average athletic ability will limit him at this level. WR4 prosect

11.Jake Bobo               UCLA    6-4      206   80    Mid 4th

Great hands, runs excellent routes, does all the little things. Great sixe but very limited athlete, some straight line speed but little else. WR4 prospect that could become Red Zone slot guy.

12.Trey Palmer               Neb    6-0     192   79    Late 4th

One year wonder, could easily move into SWR position. Needed to go back to school. Poor decision to declare, another good season and he moves up 2 rounds at least.

13.Dontay Demus        Md      6-3     215   78    Late 4th

Did not take the next step this season as I thought he would. Has all the tools to excell but has only shown glimpses of potential.

14.Andrei Losivas       Prin    6-3     205    77   Early 5th

Ivy leaguer with great athletic ability. The compitition level will require patience and a practice squad spot for at least one season.

15.Dontavion Wicks   Vir        6-1     207   76    Mid 5th

Another who did not have the season I expected. Good size, solid route runner, victim of poor offense

16.Matt Landers           Ark      6-4     200    75   Late 5th

SLEEPER ALERT!! GREAT late round pick.Great size/speed combo, still quite raw and will need practice squad time but could truly be worth the effort. Really should have used the year he had left

17.Malik Knowles       KaSt   6-2     196    74   Early 6th

Very nice size, played in a very limited offense in College. Great value here, KR ability a major plus for him.

18.Antoine Green       NCar   6-2      200    72   Late 6th

Has intriging ability for big plays, nice size/speed combo. He could really surprise. Great late round value.

19.Jonathan Mingo   Miss   6-2      220     71  Early 7th

OVERRATED ALERT!! CHARACTER ALERT!! NOT the same player as several recent Ole Miss players. Plagued by concentration lapses, takes plays off, loses focus for long stretches and some entire games. Great measurables make him worth a look.

20.Justin Shorter        Fla     6-4      229     70  Mid 7th

SLEEPER ALERT! Former ELITE recruit that never put it all together except for moments, chose colleges poorly. Worth a look at this point.  Donavon People Jones is an excellent comparison.

21.Key Thompson      Vir       6-4      210     69 Late 7th

SLEEPER ALERT!! Great all-around athlete, recruited as and played QB before moving to WR. If dedicated to this spot he could really surprise.

22.Tyler Hudson           Lou    6-2      197     68  PFA

Nice size, decent athlete, solid production. Limited route runner, worth a practice squad look

23.Puka Nacua              BYU     6-2     204      67  UDFA

Nice size but average measurables and production with solid QB's throwing to him, Practice Squad player with limited potential. Could end up in slot role.

24.Michael Jefferson  ULL   6-4     200     66  UDFA

Long rangy kid with some big play ability, played in a run dominant offense, great FA look.

25.Michael Wilson      Stan   6-2     213      65  UDFA

Most others far higher on him than I am.

26.Jadon Haselwood Ark    6-2     215      63  UDFA

7.Charlie Jones                 Pur    6-0       185    79    Late 4th

3 schools in 4 years always makes me nervous but he really exploded with decent QB play last season. KR ability is a major plus, should have used his extra season of college ball.

1.Darnell Washington   Ga       6-7     265    94     Mid 1st

Has GRONK 2.0 ability that was not utilized at Georgia!! Size, athletic ability off the charts, not used to fullest due to next years #1 TE also being on his team. His skill set in the correct offense will be lethal and that's what I believe will happen. He WILL NOT  be drafted this high, this is my opinion of his worth., so some team will be getting a prize.

2.Michael Mayer              ND       6-4    240     92      Mid 1st

Best and safest TE pick on the board. Excels at all aspects of the position. Plug in and play 10 years guy.

Great size, solid in run game, nice in redzone, 21 career TD's

8.Luke Musgrave           OrSt    6-6     255     79    Late 4th

Small school stud has tools but I'm not sold on his tape, he will require patience, most have him higher.

Great size, nice hands, solid route runner who improved every season, below average in run game.

One of the top players in the draft, elite rush skills and can grow into another Miles Garrett type who is better at run defense, those who pass on him for a QB will regret it. His best spot will be in a 4-3  but as a 3-4 OLB he can still be very effective, a rare player who can work at either spot, but this is his best.
