PRESEASON '25 NFL DRAFT RANKINGS, WIDE RECIEVERS/TIGHT ENDS

2025 DRAFT ELIGIBLE

These rankings are for my preseason top NFL Draftable players. Off course these ratings are subject to change by year end but it will be fun to see what the season  shows us. As in my Draft analysis, I use  my own eyes and metrics to rate players.  I also break down some positions differently than most. I find this very important and  the root cause of so many mistakes in the draft process. Even with all the advancements today many, many NFL executives and Draft analysts are still operating in caveman modes of years gone by, and failing!!   New for this season I've added a Comments section just for some added context clarifying my opinion on players.

    OUTSIDE WR's

  CLASS GRADE   C

Right now I only see 2 1st round picks here. Then we have numerous players who can rise or fall as the season unfolds. It's surprising there are so few sure things this season.

Rk     Player                       Sch       Ht     Wt      Comments

1.Emeka Egbuka       OhioSt   6-1    205     Can play outside or inside, best hands, runs best routes, Day one starter!

2.Tre Harris                    Miss      6-2     205     I'm higher on him than others, VERY explosive. He'll have a HUGE season.

3.Tony Horton            ColSt      6-2      190    Smooth speedster, excellent route runner, returns kicks also.

4.Da'Quan Felton     VaTch     6-4      215    Watch him move up others lists, I'm on him NOW!!

5.Jayden Higgins    IowaSt    6-4      210    Nice size, tough in traffic. His numbers will improve this season.

6.J M Sturdivant       UCLA      6-3      205    Better than numbers say, victim of poor QB play.

7.Tettairoa McMillian AZ        6-5      210    I need to see more from him, he could move up. Great length.

8.Nic Anderson            Okl       6-4      213    Another I need to see more consistency from.

9.Jalen Royals           Ut St      6-0      195     Under the radar guy, plays bigger than he is, very tough.

10.Bru McCoy              Tenn     6-2      220     Can he ever live up to his potential? Time is running out.

Others to watch:

Julian Flemming   PennSt, Elic Ayomanor  Stan, Orande Gadsden  Syr, Beaux Collins NDame, Elijhah Badger   Fal, Theo Wease  Mo, Rock Taylor   Memphis,  Sam Brown Mia(F), Kaden Prather  Md, Savion Williams   TCU

  SLOT WR's

 CLASS GRADE A

This class also has wild potential for this position. Numerous very speedy players and several have KR ability as well. Up to 5 of these players could be off the draft board at the end of Day2.

Rk     Player                       Sch       Ht     Wt      Comments

1.Luther Burden           Mo       5-11   208     Some like him outside, I do not. More quick than fast. Great hands, strong!

2.Evan Stewart             Ore      5-11   175     It should be interesting to see him with good QB play.

3.Jaylin Lane               VaTch    5-9     192    Watch him in year 2 in system, BLAZER! Quick AND fast, plays KR ability.

4.Isaiah Bond                Tx          5-11   180    He should be a primary target this season.

5.Barion Brown            Ky         6-1      174    Long for inside, slick and knows how to find space, KR ability a plus!

6.Tez Johnson               Ore        5-9     160   The only question is can his slight frame hold up?

7.Dominic Lovett         GA         5-10   179     Quietly produces good numbers.

8.Deon Burks               Okl          5-9     189    It could explode with focus not being on him all game.

9.Squirrell White      Tenn       5-10   165     Small but plays with achip, very tough.

10.Xavier Restrepo  Mia(F)   5-10   198     Let's see how he does with consistent QB play.

Others to watch:

Keandre Lambert-Smith  Aub, Kobe Prentice  Ala,  Tai Felton  Md, Daniel Jackson   Minn, Brennan Pressley  OklSt, Silas Bolden  Tx, Jaylin Noel  IowaSt, Kobe Hudson    UCF, Ricky White   UNLV

                                                                TIGHT ENDS

CLASS GRADE D

Pickens are rather slim if you're looking for a TE next spring. NO potential stars and only one player who can start day one. Then will have players with histories of injuries, or inconsistency or specialists, not much here. Maybe some player is out there ready to explode on to the scene.

Rk     Player                       Sch       Ht      Wt      Comments

1.Colson Loveland      Mich      6-5   245     The only guy I see here that can start year 0ne., Complete player.

2.Luke Lachey              Iowa       6-6   253     Must stay healthy, he has excellent upside. He can evolve to a starter.

3.Caden Preiskorn    Miss         6-5   255     He could move up if used correctly, limited touches!

4.Mitch Evans             NDame   6-6    261    Solid but unspectacular, TE2 at best

5.Ben Yurosek             Ga            6-4    242     Primarily a receiver and will continue than here.

6.Mason Taylor          LSU          6-5    253     Solid all around, great at nothing.

7.Tyler Warren         PennSt     6-6    257     Another solid but unspectacular player, TE2 at best.

8.Oscar Delp                Ga            6-5    245     He never lived up to his recruiting hype.

9.Bryson Nesbitt      NCar        6-5    235     Undersized, nice receiver, very athletic.

10.Terrence Ferguson Ore      6-5    255    My "most likely to move up" player, IF the light stays on!!

Others to watch:

Harold fannin  BGreen, Jake Briningstool  Clem, Jack Velling   MichSt, CJ Dippre   Ala, Gavin Bartholomew  Pitt.
