NUMERICAL RATINGS/DRAFT VALUE EXPLANATION WIDE/SLOT RECEIVER
95-100 Elite player, Yearly in All Pro debate Top 5 player at position yearly. 10/12 years at elite level, numerous years named to All Pro team, Pro Bowl yearly. Occasionally in MVP conversation. Still very effective several more years past his prime. Team leader, high character, one of the faces of the franchise. No weak points. TOP 5/10 DRAFT PICK
90-94 Top 5/10 at the position most years, 8/10 years at top level, A few All-Pro seasons. Yearly in Pro Bowl conversation still. Still productive for several years past prime. High character preferred, team leader no weak points on the field, some will overlook character concerns, that varies from player to player. 1st round Pick
85-89 Solid at the position Looking for a 5/8-year career at top level. Several more still productive. Could have an All-Pro season, expect a few Pro Bowls . Player should finish in top half of players at position most years. Very good but not great. Preferred high character but easier to overlook if talent is there. Very solid and dependable player. Team will likely offer 2nd contract, but the player will likely finish career elsewhere.
2nd round through mid 3rd round
80-84 Flaws that can be overcome, injury concerns; Likely 4/6-year career at max level in most cases, Possible Pro Bowl season with a few years of good coaching, and extreme work ethic. Could be a burner or possession guy that team is trying to develop Likely a quality back up/role player for several more seasons. Possibly a starter for few years but the team will always be looking for a better option. then on the bubble year to year. Very unlikely to get a second contract with drafting team. Draft in late 3rd/ Mid 4th round
75-79 Player developmental possibilities, with limited skills or injury concerns. 3/5 year career, one contract with drafting team,, then several years of living on the bubble. Could have great size/speeed and unrealized potential. Could carve out a longer career as a backup or special teams ace. Another reason for this rating could be major injury concerns, other reason would lack of dominant NFL skills With intense work ethic player could evolve into solid back up/special teams/role player even start. Will play for multiple teams over career. Draft late 4th/5th round
70-74 Back up /specials teams. Player likely will not finish rookie contract with drafting team if it's more than 2 years. Could be receiving this rating due to injury concerns lack of fit, scheme in college career, major injury concerns or simply lack of physical attributes. Could develop a role and possibly into more depending on patience, work ethic and health. Being a special teams ace will help them to stick around long. Will live on the bubble. 6th/7th round
65-69 DevelopmentalPractice squad player, Player has the skill set needed for position, could develop into role player with tenacity and patience, must be able to play special teams. May be a former elite recruit that failed to live up to hype. Likely just on roster a year or two at best. 1 in 25 can beat the odds and have a longer career.Draft 7th round /Priority Free Agent (PFA)
60-64 Player for Training camp or Practice Squad Likely will only be active when a team desperately needs a body could be active for a couple games due to injuries. or special teams ability. Not long for the team. Week to Week. 1 in 50 will carve out a longer career due to incredible diligence and tenacity. Likely will sign with several teams over a few years. Teams will lead these guys on often knowing they will never play a down for them. Better not completely leave school before graduation that degree will be necessary. Free Agents only. (UDFA)
Under 60 Training camp body at best, HOPE YOU GOT YOUR DEGREE!!! THE REAL WORLD IS COMING!!!! FAST!!!!! Players with some skills or perhaps tremendous intangibles worthy of a Camp Invite, 1 in 500 make something more of it. Frankly, GM's who sign these guys for anything more than a camp body will be looking for work soon.
EXPLANATION OF OTHER TERMS
BUST ALERT!!! A player highly ranked by many others but one I do hold in the same regard. Also, this term will be used for players who I call "ONE YEAR WONDERS" these players are either freakish athletes or players who had one season that FAR exceeded their previous production creating serious risk. This term will be reserved for 1st round projections where mistakes can cripple a franchise.
OVERRATED ALERT!!! Similar to the above but not as extreme, for after 1st/2nd rounds.. Players are not as highly rated so mistakes while still important do not carry the same weight. There are multiple reasons for this designation some but not limited to character, talent, injuries, college scheme or system.
UNDERRATED ALERT!!! Players I feel deserve a higher ranking than many/most other so called experts. These players in the future will be referred to as "STEALS" but I want it known my evaluation were on point when they were drafted.
SLEEPER ALERT!!!! A player that perhaps played in a poor scheme for his talents, suffered from poor coaching, revolving door coaching, poor supporting cast but has shown flashes that can lead him to success in the proper environment.
POSITION CHANGE ALERT!!! These are players who I feel due primarily to their skill set or more rarely at times measurables will reach their maximum level of NFL success by changing from their primary College position.
CHARACTER ALERT!!! This designation is reserved for players who have had multiple issues concerning there character. This can be legal issues, multiple transfers, poor practice habits, friction with teammates and/or Coaches, Academic issues and or any other infraction that brings into question the players decision making. Teams must weigh the risk/reward related to these players VERY CAREFULLY!!
INJURY ALERT!!!! A player with serious injury concerns, medicals vital. Possibly multiple injuries while in college or one severe injury. Also could have a long history in College and even perhaps High School "Injury Prone" is the common term. If you are missing time on the field you are costing your team $$$$
OUTSIDE RECEIVERS
Players best suited for the traditional Wide receiver position. Quickness and long speed both important but a big body than can still run can be very effective, strong hands, catch radius, route running and discipline are vital. Most will play on the primarily outside, some are able to move inside and be effective.
2025 OUTSIDE RECIEVER OVERVIEW:
It's a rare player who was never really the #1 at his college but is still atop this list but my confidence is HIGH in Egbuka. He is well coached, run precise routes, great hands, enough speed and his character is OFF THE CHARTS! Harris is another in the long line of Ole Miss WR's, Higgins is among the most physical players and McMillian, most others #1 has some glaring holes to me, he often struggled to get separation on CFB so how's that going to work in the NFL? That said, he will still be a solid receiver. Horton and Royals are lesser-known small conference studs who will surprise. After that a run of big bodies, (Ayomoyer, Felton, Thornton, Neylor, Williams, Armstrong) all with various strengths and weaknesses, likely someone from this group will land in the right spot and have a nice career. Then you get into former lofty recruits who didn't pan out, (McCoy, Prather, Wease, Collins) some others who had consistency problems (Dike, Sheppard, Felton) small conference players, and players who were cursed with inconsistent QB play, there is likely a diamond in there somewhere, who will find that gem.

SLOT WIDE RECEIVERS
Players I deem best suited for playing primarily at the inside receiver position. Some more quick than fast, some lanky types with good hands and limited speed, some big, bodied types than are not Tight Ends can find a home here. With the many different offenses teams operate they can find spots for all, if they are smart enough.
2025 SLOT RECIEVER OVERVIEW
I see Burden here, nobody else does, we'll see, I'm confident. He has excellent hands, great quickness and great functional strength. As I've often said, I give post-season, All-Star games, Combine, Pro days the respect they deserve, FUCKING NONE!!!! So Restrepo is next, I love his game, quick, tough, gritty, smart! Then we have players with holes but with certain strengths that could make them a career. Lane is shifty, quick and excels with the ball in his hands, Bech has the best hands of this group, and runs nice routes, Noel is tough as nails, Golden is MUCH higher rated by others, I'm not on that bus, He will not ascend higher than WR4 in my eyes, Johnson while small in stature, plays bigger, Williams was a victim of subpar QB play and could surprise. Then we run into guys who will have to contribute elsewhere to hold onto their jobs. Wester, Brown, Bolden all have nice KR ability. I see Williams, Bond and Horn as overrated by others and will need to contribute on Special Teams to survive long.

TIGHT ENDS
The TE spot in the NFL has and will continue to evolve. Be able to split out to a slot position or even at times out wide. Blocking TE's are more role players these day's so my rankings reflect that. Still the best are those who are a combo of both. TE's that are in reality just big WR's are on every team. On my list you will see players who are not listed by others, give them a couple years and my logic will become clear.
2025 TIGHT END OVERVIEW
For the second straight hear an elite talent resides at this position. I actually believe Warren has more upside than Bowers last season due to his ability to block at an elite level. I see this guy as potentially the top player in this draft. Loveland in most years would be the #1 TE. An excellent player just not the athlete Warren is, still a potential ALL-Pro at some point. On the next three it just depends on what quality you are looking for. Ferguson is the most athletic, Helms the best receiver, Taylor best all-around. Fannin is a wild-card who needs the right fit, he can be a star and a match-up nightmare. Numerous players with specific skills fill the rest of my board with many having starting caliber ability, top receivers, Gadson, Bringingstool, Kuithe, and all-around types, Arroyo, Matavau, Conyers, Evans, this an EXCELLENT class this season.
